Tabby Teller's sudden proposal startled Mrs. Perry.
Proposing in the hospital room, he really couldn't wait.
Before Mrs. Perry could speak, Tabby Teller said seriously, "I'm not asking for your opinion, I'm telling you that I want to marry you. As soon as you leave the hospital, we're going, and you don't have the right to refuse."
In front of Mrs. Perry, Tabby Teller had always been gentle and considerate, rarely so domineering, which Mrs. Perry wasn't quite used to.
Once she realized what was happening, she murmured, "Why can't I refuse? I've already said I don't want to get married. Why do you not respect my wishes?"
"Give me one reason why you don't want to get married!" That should respect her wishes enough!
Mrs. Perry, feeling unsure, said, "I just don't want to get married, what more reason do I need?"
"Objection overruled."
