"You know you can no longer be here."
Genevieve stood outside with Callum and Mina behind her who had her head lowered.
"There is a space for you in the Queen quarters. You will have your own servants there and be taken care of. You have nothing to worry about as you will now be under the king's protection."
"What of my mother?" Genevieve asked him. "Where did they bury her body?"
Callum had not expected that question, but he knew he should have readied an answer in case.
"Nowhere," he replied.
Genevieve shook her head slowly and said, "I know everything now. Everything that happened, she wrote it to me before she passed so I know that not you at least would not honor her body."
Callum went silent for a while before he said, "The king had me keep it only to myself."
