Li Wuyu also looked at the three pieces of sheepskin under the dim light and saw what was on them. She was pleased. "It's you, Master, who should take the credit. I didn't do anything."
"Coming with me is already a part of the credit." An Jing tucked the three pieces of sheepskin back into her chest. "Let's go quickly! If they find us, we won't be able to leave!"
"Alright!"
An Jing and Li Wuyu didn't retrace their original route to return. Instead, they simply found a nearby spot where they could discreetly descend into the river.
Once they entered the water, An Jing and Li Wuyu swam toward the location where their belongings were. The two of them still made no noise.
As soon as they climbed ashore, An Jing immediately treated the wound on her forehead by applying some golden sore medicine to it.
She hadn't applied it earlier to avoid wasting it, since she had to keep swimming in the water, which would have washed the medicine off.
