Yan Xiaoxi wanted to help, but Jin Bo refused.
She stood at the kitchen door watching.
Jin Bo glanced back, "There will be fumes later, and you've been busy shooting all morning. Go lie down for a while; it will be ready soon."
Yan Xiaoxi was indeed a bit tired. She wasn't so afraid for herself, but there was another inside her, so she returned to the bedroom to rest.
An hour later, Jin Bo finished making lunch, set the table, served the soup, and looked at the four dishes, one soup, and fruit platter on the table with satisfaction. He took off the apron, washed his hands, "Xiaoxi, lunch is ready."
As soon as he spoke, there was no response. He glanced towards the bedroom, walked over, and just as he reached the door, he heard her gentle breathing.
She was asleep!
Jin Bo entered the bedroom, sat at the bedside, and looked at Yan Xiaoxi. The sunlight streamed through the balcony, enveloping her in a peculiar warmth.
He raised his hand and gently stroked her cheek.
