Actually, this fish soup was made by the Ruanlin Family to a standard meant for Ruan Jiaojiao, with very little salt. As Grandpa Shu grew older, his taste also became milder, and this suited him perfectly.
Watching Grandpa Shu drink sip after sip while her own soup hadn't cooled down yet, Ruan Jiaojiao became quite anxious. She leaned in with her little head trying to blow it cool herself, but when she opened her mouth, she realized she didn't have that ability.
Seeing her so anxious, the Ruanlin Family turned to get another bowl, scooped spoonfuls into the empty bowl, shook it until the fish soup no longer emitted steam, then tested the temperature with her lips. Feeling it was just right, she handed it to the eagerly awaiting Ruan Jiaojiao.
Ruan Jiaojiao immediately leaned in her little head, extended her small tongue to taste it. The deliciousness spread on her tongue, her eyes widened with surprise, and she began to happily lick it.
Sip sip.
