Jiaojiao's voice wasn't loud, and this was a bustling street full of food stalls, but Wen Shu heard her immediately. She turned back and looked, becoming momentarily surprised upon seeing Jiaojiao, and then her eyes brightened.
She said something to the man beside her, then smiled and walked over, glancing at the two young girls beside Jiaojiao before resting her gaze on Jiaojiao herself: "Out here having fun with friends?"
Jiaojiao was still holding up her sugar-coated fried dough, looking at Wen Shu and nodding, though her gaze couldn't help but drift to the man behind her, pondering their relationship.
The man had already walked up to them; his features were fairly clear. As he turned around, his eyes carried traces of annoyance from being interrupted, but upon seeing them, his gaze subtly changed, and he followed Wen Shu over.
"Who are these?" he asked upon reaching Wen Shu's side, his gaze resting mostly on Jiaojiao.
