Wen Zao strolled confidently to stand in front of Ye Xixi, his gaze commanding as if he were a king ruling over her. He spoke coldly and decisively: "Don't run around, stay here..."
The tone wasn't particularly arrogant, but it made Ye Xixi almost want to cheer with joy.
She knew Wen Zao cared for her; she knew Wen Zao would never let her go to the Lu Family manor...
But the next words made Ye Xixi feel like she had fallen from heaven to hell.
Wen Zao glanced at the time and spoke calmly: "There are four more hours. At dawn, I'll personally take you back."
One sentence made Ye Xixi's expression crack instantly, her rebuttal almost a roar: "I don't want to!"
She felt like a fool, her life from childhood to now entirely led by Wen Zao.
He told her to study, so she studied; he told her to wait for him, so she waited for him; he always dominated everything about her, never once asking: "Xixi, do you like it?"
