As the sky grew dimly lit, Wen Nuan snapped back to reality and got up to prepare herself.
Her eyes were so swollen that she had to apply a towel for a long time before they looked normal, yet her forehead still felt frighteningly hot. Before leaving, she took some medicine and, facing the mirror, managed a slightly forced smile at her extremely haggard reflection.
Arriving at the classroom, Wen Nuan followed the professor inside and immediately spotted Fang Nuo and Zhou Yiwen waving at her.
She jogged over to sit down, meeting their concerned gazes. Wen Nuan smiled and shook her head, "I'm fine."
But, was she really fine?
Three days over the weekend and Monday left Wen Nuan with sunken eyes and a sharper chin. To the unknowing, it seemed like something major had happened at Wen's house.
Taking a deep breath to adjust her mood, Wen Nuan sat upright and focused on the lecturing professor.
Before long, her thoughts were fully absorbed by the class.
