After giving Mavis and Makarov the modified Fairy Sphere spell, Karna instructed Laxus to keep every single guild member from coming out to fight with the dragon that was about to appear.
"What do you mean I can't fight a dragon; we are dragonslayers!!! Karna. We are supposed to fight them. Igneel trained me to fight them" Natsu argued back learning that Karna was going to fight a dragon on his own.
"Yeah, I might not have dragon slayer magic, but my ice can hold the dragon back enough for you all to strike him with your strongest attack" Gray argued as well.
"And what makes you think I will sit back and let you face this thing on your own" Laxus suddenly commented from the side.
"Ask Raijin, how much of a chance we have" Karna replied. Laxus froze at the question. But then he closed his eyes and became silent for a few seconds. He then suddenly opened them in shock.
"The F*uck!!, how the hell do you think you have a chance against that thing" Laxus exclaimed, his expression showing that he had witnessed something horrifying.
"That is why you will be here, preparing the spell required to save us from that dragon while I hold him back. If you want you can watch, but under no circumstances you are allowed to act or attack. And trust me, we need every single one of you here to activate this spell. It requires emotions more than magic to work" Karna said while looking at every single one of them who wanted to say otherwise.
"Listen to him" Makarov immediately spoke up "The dragon he is going to fight is a calamity that the council itself fears more than Zeref or even the mythical gods that exist in the nearby dimensions, the only hope we have is for Karna to hold the dragon long enough for us to complete the spell"
Erza and the others quietened down as they heard the reasons from Makarov. They knew Master would not have pushed Karna to the forefront of this battle alone if they had no other choice. Makarov then turned towards Karna.
"Make sure you come back safely" he said, in a tone that showed that he was not ordering but requesting it from him.
"Don't worry old man, I'm not planning on dying yet" Karna replied with a smile. Then turned towards the two women who were waiting to speak with him.
"I-" and before he can start, Cana pulled him towards her for a kiss. He froze for a moment and reciprocated just as fiercely. He stayed that way for a few more seconds and then separated himself from her.
"You better come back, alright" She said while taking a deep breath. Karna nodded. "I promise" he replied.
He then turned towards Ultear who had a small smile on her face. She stepped forward and kissed his forehead, then pulled him into a hug. She then whispered into his ear.
"You'll get your kiss and more than that if you come back without losing any more limbs" she said which made Karna chuckle as he knew this was something he expected her to do.
He then looked back at everyone and nodded once more before manifesting wings made out of death and flying into the sky, waiting for the dragon about to appear in a moment.
He looked around and found out that the ships had retreated to a considerable distance after the warning they heard about Acnalogia. He chuckled as he knew those ships had only appeared here to find information to take his guild down. But it was also planned by him as he wanted the council and the world to see Fairy Tail disappear from the world. Other than a few, most would have no idea that Fairy Tail will come back after seven years.
This will give more than enough opportunity for those who are planning on destroying fairy tail from the shadows to come out and attack them. But the three gods of Ishgar and Hades would be waiting to meet them with their fists when the time comes.
Suddenly the system opened up in front of him.

And that was the last nail in the coffin. Karna knew now that there is no chance for any discussion or escape .the Black dragon is coming here to hunt.
The next moment, Karna sensed it. A presence that was unbelievable to him.
'Oh, I thought only that guy was fighting for control of that realm. Seems this dragon joined as well' he thought as he ate a shard of etherion, filling up his entire Ethernano reserves.
He can sense the presence of the dragon clearly right now and he knew why Ankhseram had released his death aura and why it summoned the dragon.
Pure death energy was rolling off the dragon's body.
Not unlike the energy Ankhseram earned by killing millions with Nirvana. Not unlike Karna who channelled his Drakon slayer abilities. But it was pure death energy chosen by the world because of the amount of death and destruction the black dragon had created throughout the centuries .
He was more like Gildarts who automatically gained the rune of crush when he reached a level that no other wizard had ever reached.
"Alright, this is going to be harder than I thought before" Karna spoke to himself with a smile as he summoned more death energy to make his arms more thicker and crafted spikes with barbed edges around it.
The Apocalypse dragon sensed his contender and started to move towards him with anger and energy that aimed at destruction alone.
And thus started the battle witnesses by the Rune knights and spread across Earthland as the battle of gods themselves.
