Time passed quickly, and the day for Izanami's departure arrived. On this day, as per Izanami's request, a grand festival was held to see her off. The whole of Konoha was lit up in a festival atmosphere as every house was decorated lavishly, making people wonder whether the new year had arrived early.
"Well, I have to say, Izanami, at first I thought you wanting to throw a party would not work since the time frame to prepare is very short. But money really did make things way easier. " Tsunade said as she took a big gulp from a giant wine barrel imported from Japan.
Even though she was the one who organized this whole festival, she herself couldn't believe how smoothly things went. Whether it was the decorations or the entertainment troupes, all of them were easily found after spending some extra money.
There was no need for any long waiting time or anything. Just after you paid double the full price, everything was set up immediately. The entertainment groups that were supposed to entertain the daimyo were immediately sent towards Konoha in an express carriage by the daimyo themselves. The party decorations that were needed in large quantities were purchased in just two days and delivered to every single household in another two days.
So many ninjas were used, making the efficiency far greater. Furthermore, because of this, many ninjas managed to make more money during this period due to all the high-paid and relatively easy escort missions. And with a large amount of money circulating in Konoha, the village's economy also began to grow steadily.
This was the best news for Tsunade, who was trying to fill the deep gaps in the village's administrative affairs after the Third Hokage abdicated. Those four guys were literally sucking Konoha dry with their actions.
Tsunade was sure that if another attack on the scale of the nine-tailed attack happened again, then the village would truly crumble, as the village's finances were not enough to support it.
Thinking of this, Tsunade really wanted to beat the shit out of that bastard sensei of hers and his two so-called elders. Although those guys really did many things for Konoha, their contribution to the village fails in comparison to the damage they did.

"Lady Tsunade, please don't start drinking, you still need to keep your dignity at the farewell ceremony, " Shizune said as she looked at Tsunade with an embarrassed face. Noticing how quickly Tsunade's face changed every second, Shizune knew that she must be thinking about the village problems again. And usually every time she does this, Tsunade would drink heavily to calm herself down.
Usually, Shizune would not stop Tsunade, as even she gets a headache seeing the village situation. But this time is obviously not suitable for Tsunade to get drunk.
Right now, they are at the Konoha school auditorium with all the clan leaders and high officials of Konoha.
They are all gathered here for Izanami's farewell ceremony, and Tsunade obviously cannot get drunk in such a situation.
"Haha, Shizune, don't be a party pooper let Tsunade enjoy herself just for today. This girl deserves a good, relaxing time for doing her job seriously for the last year. " Izanami said as she chuckled.
She wasn't lying. During this past year, Izanami had noticed how Tsunade was seriously working to bring Konoha back on track after all the problems Hiruzen and his band of fools had caused during their era.
You know, in Konoha's heyday, they could fight and dominate all four other ninja villages at once with their military and economic might. And this is without relying on Hashirama. When Konoha was founded, apart from the Senju and Uchiha, all the other clans that came to migrate to Konoha were either powerful or wealthy in the Warring States period.
It is due to this power that Konoha became the number one ninja village even in after the first ninja war.
But after years of decline, Konoha had dropped to the level where dealing with even two ninja villages at once would spread Konoha's forces too much.
All of this is because of Hiruzen and his band of fools' actions over the years. They made many changes and kept many outdated customs that made Konoha weaker and weaker.
In fact, in the original timeline, when Hiruzen was killed by Orochimaru, there were no actual candidates for the Hokage position. This speaks volumes about how weak Konoha has become.
"Hahaha, see, Shizune, even Izanami says I can drink, so don't worry about it. " Tsunade laughed heartily as she began to gulp down the wine barrel.
Seeing this, Shizune could only shake her head in awkwardness. She really couldn't stop Tsunade now. Thankfully, it was not just Tsunade who was drinking. In fact, the other clan leaders were also drinking and socializing. Though none of them were as bold as Tsunade.
But nonetheless, this sight of all the clan leaders drinking together while laughing is definitely something very unique. Usually, these guys would never act so casually, as they all have to maintain the dignity of their respective clans.
But all that was instantly forgotten by them when Izanami said, " I don't want my farewell party to be a boring banquet, where everyone is stiff and has fake smiles. "
After those words, everyone had to reluctantly take off their masks and enjoy the party. Nevertheless, seeing these dignified clan leaders who always had to keep a dignified façade, trying to act as casually as possible is really funny. Hell, even the Hyuga and Uchiha clan leaders, who were said to be never seen smiling, are trying their best to make smiles that don't look terrifying.
As the party was going very lively, a person who seemed to be able to blend into the surroundings came near Izanami. Although a normal person would usually panic when someone came near them so suddenly, but Izanami isn't just anybody. Even if someone were to magically teleport near her, evading all her detection abilities, she still wouldn't even flinch.
This is something she mastered after years of hard work. She calls it the art of having the perfect poker face.
"So, Itachi, why did you come here to meet me while acting so suspiciously?" Izanami asked as she looked at Itachi with a calm smile.
Yes, the one who came near Izanami like an assassin is none other than Itachi Uchiha, the young master of the Uchiha clan.
Itachi looked at Izanami and took a deep breath and asked in a calm tone, " Lady Izanami, may I have a moment of your time?"
"Hmm, sure, I'm not busy anyway, " Izanami said as she snapped her fingers, and the next moment the two of them disappeared from the venue.
And like usual, no one noticed their disappearance since before Izanami left, she created two shadow clones to replace both Itachi and herself.
