Ronan's eyes lit briefly. "Ah. Yes. She does look so much like Lysandra. If not for the age, I'd almost believe Lysandra was back to life. And her beauty… it's equally breathtaking," he added before he could stop himself.
That earned him a sharp glare, but Aurelia did not deny it. She also knew Ronan was wise enough not to risk their future over something as irrelevant as a pretty face. There was so much at stake if he tried that.
"Why has she suddenly appeared? And why does Lester refuse me a proper introduction? He practically declared her equal to himself."
Ronan frowned and leaned forward. "After this morning's breakfast, I know for certain that she's definitely a threat to our plans. You know that, right? So you can't keep putting off the obvious. It's time we do the needful."
Aurelia's silence was enough to give him the answer he needed. He could see that she was finally ready. With a little persuasion she wouldn't hold back anymore.
