Torajirou Shiro did not lie.
He simply omitted the part where he was the one who told Liliruca to kill Soma.
He also left out that his so-called private matter was preventing Liliruca from being shot dead on the spot by any adventurer who happened to pass by.
This way of speaking was something Loki had taught him.
When facing gods, telling half the truth was much more effective than lying.
And compared to being directly told the answer, gods who prided themselves on being clever were far more willing to believe the things they had guessed on their own.
