You scan the facade of the university with binoculars. You announce everything you see to Gustavo. You lower the binoculars and, upon looking at him, find him meditative. His metallic arm gleams in the sun.
"If it is inevitable that this story ends in bloodshed, then so be it. I accept my fate," he says without looking at you. His voice is inflexible; it hardened ever since a mob assaulted him and his fiancée in the middle of the night, destroying his arm, and dealt her a beating that caused her to miscarry. "Raise the white flag. We will call for Parley."
You gather all the combatants, who are armed with: bats, chains, knives, pipes, et cetera. The entrenched students are not fewer in number, and it seems the siege they've been enduring for two weeks has toughened them up.
Sumire appears in her wheelchair.
The respective leaders of each faction step forward; you accompany your friend. Isaac follows the leader of the nonconformists without paying you the slightest bit of interest, as if you were strangers. Sumire and Gustavo stand face to face in the middle of the grassy esplanade, separated by five meters. They speak loud enough for their combatants to hear.
"Ready to sign a peace treaty and stop this barbarity?" Sumire asks.
"Peace...?" Gustavo cracks a humorless smile and looks around. "Let's be honest, does anyone even know what that is?"
Ending 7: War.
