Pui Pui's death infuriated Babidi, but it didn't scare him.
After all, Pui Pui was his weakest subordinate, besides Paragus, who was still needed to control Broly and couldn't be sent into battle.
Having witnessed one defeat already, and with Yakon volunteering, Babidi surprisingly kept things orderly, he didn't send everyone in at once.
Originally, Sansan was supposed to be the next to fight, but just like in the original story, Yakon stepped up for the second round.
Neither Goku nor Raditz had any interest in Yakon as an opponent. With their current level of strength, how could they possibly care about someone like him?
Even Dabura had to take a back seat.
Krillin wanted another go, but Tien beat him to it.
Having already had his turn, Krillin backed down, Tien wanted a chance to stretch as well.
The result?
Tien easily dominated.
With a power level well over 50 billion, Tien was no joke. Yakon, while stronger than many from the original series, comparable to Perfect Cell, was completely outclassed in this timeline.
Everyone's power had increased exponentially. At this point, Tien and Krillin's strength was already on par with their levels during the Tournament of Power in the original timeline.
During Tien's fight with Yakon, Sansan tried to launch a sneak attack, but Gohan saw through it instantly.
Together, Tien and Gohan effortlessly eliminated Yakon and Sansan.
Now, only Dabura, Paragus, and Broly remained on Babidi's side.
With all the small fry out of the way, everyone's attention turned to Paragus and, especially, Broly.
"Wait a second… those two… are Saiyans?! And they look familiar…" Raditz suddenly spoke, his childhood memories reawakening.
Until now, all eyes had been on Babidi and the Majin egg.
But now? If Raditz didn't realize what was in front of him, he'd have to be a fool.
"I see now! So they're Saiyans. No wonder their energy felt familiar," Goku muttered.
Their words startled Gohan, Krillin, and Tien, though not enough to frighten them, they sensed that Paragus and Broly didn't seem particularly strong.
What they didn't realize was that they had become overconfident in their own strength, leading them to underestimate their foes.
What they especially didn't know was that Broly was the legendary Super Saiyan, a being said to appear once every thousand years.
"Goku, now's not the time for nostalgia. Given the situation, and the fact that they've sided with Babidi, we must consider them evil," said Supreme Kai, clearly worried Goku might go soft.
Everyone understood what Supreme Kai was implying.
"We don't need you to tell us. We've got eyes and ears, we'll judge for ourselves."
Raditz's cold retort made Supreme Kai shrink back in fear. Raditz then crossed his arms and stepped forward slowly.
Since they were fellow Saiyans, he wanted to know who those two were.
After all, Saiyans were a dying race, every additional survivor mattered.
Raditz clearly valued Saiyan heritage more than anyone, even though he had married an Earth woman and had a child.
As he approached, Dabura stepped in front of Babidi to guard him.
Raditz scoffed,
"You? You're not even worthy of being my opponent, let alone making me lift a finger. Those two behind you… you're Saiyans, right?"
Dabura flushed with anger, he was a Demon King! Who dared talk to him this way?
Babidi was even more enraged. But he heard the second half of Raditz's words and glanced at Paragus and Broly, then back at Raditz.
"You're a Saiyan too?" Clearly, Babidi had gathered Saiyan information from Paragus.
Raditz ignored him and kept his focus on the two Saiyans.
Only now did Paragus and Broly come back to their senses.
Unable to disobey Babidi, Paragus politely asked for permission before replying,
"Yes, we are Saiyans. I am Paragus, and this is my son, Broly. May I ask who you are?"
It was clear from his words, Paragus was intelligent and calculating.
He recognized that Raditz's side held overwhelming power, and as fellow Saiyans, perhaps they could help him break free from Babidi's control. So he kept his tone humble and approachable.
"Paragus? That name sounds familiar… wait, you're Paragus?! You're alive?!" Raditz's eyes widened. Then he turned to Broly,
"So that means… this is the one… the Saiyan with a battle power of 10,000 who was exiled to the death planet by King Vegeta…"
Raditz trailed off.
That was all anyone needed to hear to understand the backstory.
Paragus was emotional, he hadn't expected Raditz to remember such ancient history.
"And you are…?"
"I'm Raditz, son of Bardock! Your friend from the old days. I used to accompany Prince Vegeta during his training, you and I met more than once. You really are forgetful." Raditz said coolly.
"You're Raditz? That explains why you looked so familiar!" Paragus said, now excited.
There had been a connection in the past.
Just as he was about to speak again, Babidi snapped,
"That's enough! Just because I let you speak doesn't mean you can ignore the Great Sorcerer and keep going!"
The atmosphere instantly turned tense.
Paragus could only shut his mouth, and Broly, seeing all this, clenched his teeth.
If his father weren't under Babidi's control, he'd have killed this ugly freak long ago.
"All of this is your fault, you Saiyans ruined my plans! And now you side with Supreme Kai to stop me?! Dabura, kill that monkey Saiyan!" Babidi roared, dropping the temperature to freezing.
Dabura's expression turned grim, he clearly sensed the terrifying power of Raditz.
And Raditz was furious now.
Babidi had gone too far, and at this point, Raditz no longer cared.
"Enough talk. I didn't want to dirty my hands, but you keep asking for death! A so-called Demon King like you, I could crush you with a flick of my wrist."
Raditz's voice was icy.
In the next instant, in full view of Dabura, Paragus, and Broly, Raditz teleported and grabbed Babidi by the throat.
Even Goku, Gohan, Tien, Krillin, and even the Supreme Kai and Kibito were shaken.
Of course, Supreme Kai and Kibito were thrilled, this was what they'd been hoping for.
With Babidi dead, the threat would end.
"N-No… Stop… If Babidi dies… I.."
Before Paragus could finish his panicked plea, Raditz crushed Babidi's neck. He died instantly, beyond saving.
The moment Babidi died, crimson flames erupted from both Dabura and Paragus, engulfing them.
"NO!!! I… I am the Demon Ki..AHHHHH!!!"
Dabura screamed as he was consumed, unable to resist. He was reduced to ashes.
Paragus met an even crueler end, he was completely annihilated.
Raditz stood stunned.
He had assumed Paragus was merely under mind control. Since he hated Babidi anyway, he thought killing him would free a fellow Saiyan.
He never imagined… it would end like this.
Everyone else was also left speechless.
But there was one person who was not still.
Broly.
Uncontrolled by Babidi, he wasn't consumed by the flames.
But now, filled with grief over his father's death and burning with long-suppressed fury, Broly was on the brink of total explosion.
"RAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
A frenzied, beastly roar erupted from Broly's throat.
In that moment, an overwhelming, terrifying energy burst forth from his body, spreading across the sky and land like a tidal wave.
The world was about to change.
