Chapter 42 - #42Chapter 42 So many people couldn't make it through one chapter?

Standing in front of the Orcs, Fang Wuwei's gaze was fixed on the depths of the forest ahead; he knew there were many enemies hidden inside, not just one archer.

His decision was...

Set the mountain on fire! It always works!

Imposing Might plus Fireball Technique!

The raging inferno instantly engulfed the forest before him, and Fang Wuwei faintly heard a few wails emanating from within.

Suddenly, a sharp arrow shot out from the flames, flying straight towards Wuwei's face, but Wuwei remained motionless, as if he hadn't reacted.

However, when the arrow reached Wuwei's eyes, it seemed to be blown away by something, flying erratically and abstractly before embedding itself in a nearby tree.

It really works.

A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Fang Wuwei's mouth; this was a magic, if it could even be called that, that he had roughly imitated based on the full-body shield he had seen before.

It was merely a defensive method caused by simply radiating mental power, or what could be called magic, from various parts of the body. The good thing was that it worked, the bad thing was that it didn't work completely.

Because there was no precise control, the speed of magic consumption was extremely fast, and the effect was unstable, only able to deflect attacks rather than defend against them. If his mental power wasn't strong enough and his magic wasn't abundant enough… most people really couldn't use this B-grade magic.

Still need to practice.

Fang Wuwei confirmed that this method had a slight feasibility, then closed his magic emission, drew his Fu Chen Blade, and rushed forward.

He had already pinpointed where that despicable sneak attacker was, activated Quick Braking, and his long blade cut through the air, leaving a dazzling trail of light as he rushed towards that direction.

On the other side, the archer crouching in the tree saw that this guy was actually blocking in front of the Orcs and felt that this fellow, seeing that they were already failing, wanted to claim the remaining Orc data for himself by relying on his own prowess. In a fit of anger, he shot an arrow, reasoning that he had started the fire first anyway.

Seeing the arrow deflected, he merely frowned. Arrows were useless against him; he could only ask the Captain and the big brute, the melee fighters, to deal with him.

Just as he turned his head to call for help, he felt the world spin, as if he had been kicked out of the tree and was constantly rolling. In a daze, he saw his own headless body still crouching in the tree, and a fleeting flash of a blade.

Only then did he understand that he was dead, beheaded the instant he turned his head, and so quickly.

Holy shit, that's really too terrifying.

This was the last sentence that echoed in the archer's mind.

And Fang Wuwei had no intention of stopping; the speed brought by Quick Braking allowed him to rush towards distant enemies at an incredible speed.

He saw them all, he saw all these beasts.

In just an instant, before the archer's head even hit the ground, Fang Wuwei had already reached the Reincarnators, and with another flash of his blade, he cleanly executed them.

At this point, even if those people were slow to react, they should have realized that their side had instantly lost two members, in just an instant.

Fang Wuwei spun around, delivering a self-sacrificing side kick that sent one of the tall, burly warriors flying, and the two of them broke two trees behind them before stopping. Both fell into the sea of fire, and Fang Wuwei also used the large brute as a buffer to successfully slow down, but the large brute beneath him had already lost his breath.

Another instant kill. These people were truly fragile in Fang Wuwei's hands.

Fang Wuwei slowly walked out of the sea of fire. He didn't even activate his defense; how could his own Fireball Technique harm him?

The Reincarnators before him were just a small team, unlike the hundreds of people involved in the siege of the Orc tribe. They were the first to arrive, and the outcome of sneaking ahead… was miserable.

Eight people remaining.

Fang Wuwei's gaze locked onto all of them; not one could escape!

Fang Wuwei decided to indiscriminately slaughter all Reincarnators, both to rescue the Orc tribe and to complete his mission.

"A1 Flashbang, please! Qiu Li…"

Fang Wuwei roared, startling the few people in front of him, who all assumed defensive stances. Spells that required incantations were usually terrifyingly deadly, and the support in the team even activated a specialized magic-defense shield to cover everyone.

However, Fang Wuwei stopped his incantation halfway, swung his long blade, and instantly charged, striking the magic shield.

The shield, specifically designed to defend against magic, didn't even offer a moment of resistance to Fang Wuwei before being shattered, quickly dissipating into magic.

But Fang Wuwei was even faster. His current agility far surpassed that of others, and his speed was incredibly swift. Before the shield had completely dissipated, he had already reached the support, beheaded him with a single strike, and then attempted to attack the female mage next to him, but failed, blocked by a greatsword.

Seeing his attack blocked, Fang Wuwei immediately kicked the sword to create distance, causing the enemy holding the greatsword to stumble two steps, while Fang Wuwei landed steadily.

Fang Wuwei unleashed five Lightning Arrows consecutively, shooting them rapidly towards the mage, but they were all intercepted. Seeing that the Lightning Arrows were ineffective, Fang Wuwei rushed back again, intending to attack the mage once more. The Reincarnator wielding the greatsword held his sword horizontally, his entire body covered in a faint golden glow, clearly having activated a defensive skill.

But how could Fang Wuwei be so foolish as to simply charge forward? He was an assassin!

Quick Braking!

Mid-charge, Fang Wuwei forcibly activated Quick Braking again. He didn't care anymore; he still had plenty of healing scrolls.

This time, he no longer accelerated his charge, but instead applied the speed bonus to his right side, causing his entire body to move in an unscientific manner towards the front-left, where three people were.

In a flash, heads were separated from bodies, heads flew, blood splattered high, and before it even hit the ground, Fang Wuwei had already arrived in front of another person, striking again.

It was too fast. Even the fastest Reincarnator in the entire team still couldn't observe Fang Wuwei when he activated Quick Braking; he was simply too fast.

Before the mage and the greatsword Reincarnator could react, the three were swiftly cut down. Fang Wuwei, who had rushed behind the enemies, was further imbued with Imposing Might and threw a Fireball towards the crowd.

Violent explosions and raging flames reappeared. The mage and the greatsword, at the center of the explosion, were instantly engulfed by the flames, while the others were blown away, burning in the fierce fire, their fates unknown.

Looking at the raging inferno before him, Fang Wuwei decided to temporarily ignore the mage and the greatsword and search for others to finish off.

These people would either be burned to death or killed by him. Fang Wuwei went straight for those who could still move, throwing a Sword Qi Slash or a Lightning Arrow at each until they were no longer moving.

There was no possibility of feigning death; the fire was still burning. Feigning death and truly dying were no longer different.

Fang Wuwei withdrew his blade, intending to leave. Just then, Fang Wuwei felt a surge of magic flying rapidly towards him from behind.

He instantly formulated a countermeasure: bending his knees, quickly ducking and spinning, he narrowly dodged the magic attack, and his spinning body allowed him to quickly unleash a Sword Qi Slash as a counter-attack.

The Sword Qi Slash disappeared into the sea of fire, with no further outcome, but soon, two figures emerged from the flames: the mage and the greatsword.

It seems they can't be let off the hook just yet.

Fang Wuwei thought to himself. Due to the forced activation of Quick Braking, his body was now somewhat tired and sore. He decided to end the battle quickly, as fast as possible, but for now, the distance was not enough.

Fang Wuwei held his blade and pressed forward, but without Quick Braking activated, the greatsword could react. Although he could only see a blur, it was much better than seeing nothing at all.

The greatsword, blocking the attack with his weapon, took a direct hit from Fang Wuwei's blade. Although his feet remained motionless, he was pushed back several meters. His current strength was far less than Fang Wuwei's.

The female mage beside him waved her staff, and countless pale blue chains flew towards Fang Wuwei, intending to restrict him.

An assassin being controlled by a mage was terrifying. Without thinking, Fang Wuwei kicked the greatsword, quickly retreating, and the greatsword, taking the kick, fell directly to the ground.

Good opportunity.

Fang Wuwei stomped his foot, and without even losing his balance, he quickly rushed towards the mage. Although this resulted in his current running posture being somewhat distorted, it didn't matter.

The mage also reacted quickly. Seeing that one control spell missed, she immediately began to create a magic shield, opening it the moment Fang Wuwei reached her, narrowly blocking the attack.

The distorted running motion made it difficult for Fang Wuwei to quickly regain his balance. The greatsword, seizing the opportunity, quickly got up and charged, intending to protect the mage.

He no longer had the heart to fight, only wanting to escape with the mage quickly.

Looking at the greatsword charging towards him, Fang Wuwei knew his chance had come.

"...Gao!!"

Fang Wuwei let out a strange shout, and a flashbang appeared above his head, quickly exploding in an instant. The mage and the greatsword, being so close, were instantly affected by both blindness and tinnitus, their minds thrown into disarray, and even the mage's shield was forced to dispel.

Fang Wuwei seized the opportunity, beheading the female mage in front of him with a single strike. At this moment, his face was so contorted with a smile it was almost wrinkled.

You! Didn't! Think! Of! That! Did! You!!! As long as you don't say anything else during the A1 Flashbang incantation, you can summon the flashbang no matter how long it's been!

Well, he hadn't thought of it at first either.

While the greatsword's blindness and tinnitus had not yet ended, Fang Wuwei quickly struck with his blade. Due to the greatsword blocking his attack path, Fang Wuwei severed his arm, then spun around and beheaded him.

At this point, total annihilation.
