Scarlett could already make a guess why no demon king had ever been defeated in the past ten thousand years by any summoned hero—it was because the goddess never wanted them to.
The goddesses summoned heroes from other worlds, giving them initial benefit so they could grow stronger. But in the end, those gifts were never meant to save the world. They were traps. When the heroes finally died, the goddesses would absorb their strength and skills for themselves. It was like raising strong cattle only to take everything from them in the end.
If a hero ever became as strong as a demon king, stealing their power would become difficult. So the goddesses kept their control, always making sure the balance never broke.
But the Holy Knights were a different story. They pretended to worship the goddess, yet in truth, their loyalty belonged to the True Dragon, Sylvania Yogsothoth. Then why, despite all that strength, had they never managed to defeat a single demon king?
That part made no sense.
Scarlett crossed her arms and leaned against the seat, her sharp eyes looking outside the carriage window.
"It seems this world has more secrets than I imagined," she whispered to herself.

Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Mystveil, the night was warm and heavy with silence. Inside a golden-decorated master bedroom, King Vladmir was pressed against the wall with a slender woman in his arms. Her skin was pale and smooth, her body trembling slightly as she wore a thin purple blindfold over her eyes.
Soft, muffled moans filled the air as their bodies moved together, the scent of perfume and sweat mixing in the room. But after a few moments, Vladmir suddenly stopped moving.
The woman turned her head slightly, her voice soft and confused. "What's wrong, dear? Why did you stop?"
She hesitated, then lifted her blindfold halfway to peek at him. Her eyebrows widened the moment she saw it—Vladmir had gone completely still, his face pale and tense.
The reason he stopped wasn't because he wanted to. His body had simply failed him.
Her expression darkened as she slowly sighed, brushing her silver hair back. "It happened again… It seems I'm not beautiful enough for you anymore," she murmured sadly, waiting for some kind of comfort.
But instead, Vladmir's jaw tightened. "Get out," he said coldly.
The woman blinked, stunned. "What?"
"I said GET OUT!" His voice thundered across the room.
Frightened, the woman grabbed her clothes and rushed out, leaving the door slightly open behind her.
Vladmir sat on the edge of the bed, breathing heavily. His hands went to his golden hair as he scratched it in frustration, muttering curses under his breath. The room was silent again—until the door creaked open.
A tall woman entered, her light blue hair tied neatly, her steps calm and confident. She wore a crisp white shirt under a black coat, a small notepad tucked under her arm.
It was Raina, the king's personal adviser.
"Another failure?" she asked plainly as she closed the door behind her. "She didn't catch your interest either? Don't worry, I can arrange a few more, Even more beautiful than her. Maybe this time someone will fit your… blindfold fetish."
Vladmir shook his head, his voice low and bitter. "It's not the women, Raina. It's her. Scarlett Nova. Everything started going wrong after I met her."
Raina raised an eyebrow and flipped open her notepad, adjusting her glasses. "There have been similar complaints," she said calmly. "Reports from the Kingdom of Gwarga mention that when Queen Scarlett tortured their previous king and his entire family in public."
She glanced at the notes again and continued, "They say most men who saw her there can't be aroused by any other woman anymore. Some wives even reported the same problem, Same goes for womens too, Specially lesbians. And others…" Raina paused briefly, almost not believing her own words. "Others abandoned their partners completely and now spend their time with Scarlett's portraits and dolls",
"What about DreadHaven? Wouldn't they be facing the same problem?" Vladmir asked, worry cracking his voice.
Raina shook her head slowly. "I don't think so. Monsters and demons have much stronger libido than most potent humans. They might admire someone like Scarlett, but it won't stop them from being able to love or want their partner."
Vladmir sighed deeply, his frustration evident. "It's like a disease that only affects humans!" he muttered, his voice laced with exasperation.
Raina suggested, "Why not use your unique skill, Memory manipulation? Just modify your women's preferences to some young, cute girls. This will solve your problem since mature and seductive women like Scarlett wouldn't be your type!"
Vladmir shook his head, his pride evident. "I can, but my pride won't let me. It's the same as admitting defeat just from her beauty."
Raina's expression turned serious. "I don't think we should call it beauty. It's more like seduction."
"Seduction? Like a succubus?" Vladmir asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Seems so," Raina replied, her voice low. "From what the holy knights have investigated, when she was summoned together with hero aoto, she introduced herself as a succubus, not a half-dragon!"
"Although being beautiful and seductive are similar, I don't think she is an incarnation of the goddess of beauty!" Raina suggested, her instincts telling her that something was definitely wrong.
But Vladmir shook his head. "But the divinity that she released was real, and she have traits of a dragon, not a succubus!"
He bit his lips hard until blood came out, his face a mask of determination. "Whatever the case, my problem will only be saved when I conquer Scarlett or kill her instead!"
He stood up and turned to look at Raina, his voice commanding. "Are all the sacrifices ready yet?"
"No," Raina reported, her tone solemn. "The disappearance of humans around all the kingdoms is drawing too much attention. At least one more month will be needed."
"Other than that, everything is ready," she continued. "The holy knights are on our side too. All that's left is for you to get an ultimate skill and gain the title of Warlord. And after that not even demon kings, will be able to stop us from taking six kingdoms and the whole demon realm!"
------------
A few days later, Scarlett finally returned to DreadHaven. This time, she didn't hold back even a little. From the moment she arrived, For next month, she threw herself completely into training—focusing mainly on improving her unique skill, Sixth Sense, and learning how to control her special eyes.
Everyone noticed her determination. Seeing how serious and hardworking she had become, the others also started training harder than before. Even Li Feng, who rarely praised anyone, couldn't help but compliment her effort.
But this sudden fire inside Scarlett didn't come from nowhere. After seeing Vesilisa's overwhelming power, she had realized something—getting stronger wasn't just her desire anymore, it was a necessity.
And it was worth it. Her progress was clear. Her strength had grown, her control was smoother, and she was finally getting used to the ever growing strength.
Sitting cross-legged on a large boulder deep in the forest, Scarlett took a deep breath and opened her status window.
"Sixty percent… I'm not so far away now," she thought with a small smile. "Looks like my hard work really paid off."
The last time she checked, it had been barely twenty percent. Now it was three times higher—a clear sign that her training was working.
She turned toward Lilith, who stood nearby, and smiled softly. "Thank you so much for your time. I learned a lot from you. I even managed to perfect my battleform selection because of your help."
Her mismatched eyes—one red, one a glowing blue—shone gently under the sunlight. She wasn't wearing her blindfold at the moment, feeling more confident about her control.
Battleform selection and the concept of the mental world were things Avion had once taught her, Although she learned battleform selection but she had never understood mental world fully. Now, after training under Lilith, she managed to master battleform selection, Of course reality of having mental world was still far away.
Lilith smiled faintly. "Even I wasn't sure it would work, but you did well. Just remember to keep that blindfold with you at all times, just in case."
Scarlett nodded right away. Earlier, she could only control her eyes for a few minutes. Now, she could last several hours before the strain became too much. She still needed breaks, but that was a huge improvement from before.
Lilith looked around at the quiet forest and spoke again, her voice calm. "I've observed everyone. Their progress has been good too. The rest… will depend on all of you."
Then she straightened and bowed slightly. "Well, my work here is done. I should return to my master."
"What? So suddenly?" Scarlett jumped up, waving her hands in surprise. "At least stay for dinner and say goodbye to everyone!"
Lilith paused for a moment, then gave a small nod. "Alright, I'll stay a little longer."
Scarlett let out a sigh of relief—and then her expression turned serious. She had been wanting to ask this question for a long time. "Miss Lilith, do you know how someone could make a large gate that connects two worlds? Is something like that even possible?"
Lilith's eyes narrowed slightly as she thought about it. After a few seconds, she answered calmly, "It's possible. But it's much harder to connect to a world you've never been to. If you've already been there, then it's easier—but still takes a lot of time and effort."
Scarlett's smiled in excitement. That was all she needed to hear. She had been to that world—it was her home world.
"Can you tell me how to do it?" she asked quickly, her voice full of hope.
Lilith looked at her expressionlessly but nodded. "Yes. We'll meet again to talk about this properly. But you'll need to be prepared—with the right people and enough resources to make it possible."
Scarlett nodded immediately.
