The oppressive heat made the Imperial City lack any scenery that would compel one to brave the blazing sun for a visit.
And so, after Song Tan and Lun Chuan bought their tickets, they casually packed a few clothes and were ready to set off.
However, early in the morning, just as they were about to drive to the city, they were stopped by Wu Lan.
"Are you going to invite the master like this?"
The suitcase felt light in her hand, clearly empty!
Song Tan was puzzled: Isn't that obvious? You can't just hold the gift in your arms while banging gongs and drums, can you?
She paused for a moment: "What else then? We're not staying in the Imperial City for long."

Wu Lan quickly calculated in her mind.
Driving from the village to the high-speed train station would take a little over an hour, then take the train, and it wouldn't take more than 6 hours to reach the Imperial City.
