Chapter 306 - His Desire

While they didn't finish by that day's sunset, as Sindbad had declared, it took them merely three days to get the field all set and the fences up around it against any wild animals that might ravage their hard work.

 

With the millet and barley safely tucked under the soil, and seedlings of olive trees watered, the town's people retreated to celebrate the early end of their labor with a small feast out of what could have been their midday meals for the coming days of work.

 

Sindbad and the other two were considered by far the most contributors, and so were served heartily.

 

The people of the village gathered around a bonfire, eating their fill and listening to Sindbad's stories, while enjoying the peaceful time.

 

Someone, however, was absent from the festivities.

 

Not exactly absent. They were watching over them, making sure they were safe as they enjoyed their night, and the reason why the people of Al-yamama felt peaceful.
