"Neriah?" Barak's voice broke through her chain of thoughts. "Tis cold my love, why are you seated out here?" Barak asked as he walked toward the balcony where she was neshly nestled in a chair.
Her hand reached for him and he took it in his own as he sank himself into the same chair.
"There is not a single star in sight, yet I could not help but admire the beautiful darkness," she finally responded to his question as she adjusted her position on the chair and cuddled up against his chest.
"It is a peaceful night." He nodded, wrapping his arms around her as he placed a kiss upon her head.
"Earlier," Neriah began, "I had gone to see Lyle."
