The sound of explosions, gunfire, interwoven in Mi Xiaotao's dreams, her sleep becoming increasingly restless, her head continuously swaying on the pillow.
It's been over three hours since returning from the seaside, and Mi Xiaotao has remained in a coma, not waking up.
Lu Shaoqing has been caring for her all along, seeing her head shaking incessantly, he knew she was trapped in a nightmare, unable to extricate herself.
"Xiaotao, Xiaotao, wake up!"
Lu Shaoqing lightly patted Mi Xiaotao's face, "You're having a nightmare! Wake up!"
"Mom! No, Mom!..."
Mi Xiaotao suddenly screamed, "Mom! I want to save you! Wait for me!"
"Xiaotao!"
Lu Shaoqing urgently scooped her up, holding her tightly in his arms, "Xiaotao, wake up!"
Mi Xiaotao heard Lu Shaoqing's voice, slowly opened her eyes, saw him, and cried out, "I want to find my mom! I want to save her! My mom was stabbed by Zhu Moli because of me! The one who should die is me! It shouldn't be my mom!"
