Third-person POV
Later at night, in his bedroom in the Kale noble estate, Roel was snickering while in his nighttime slumber. Why? Because he was dreaming about being in the industrial dystopian setting of "Jin Roh", complete in his scavenged AOBF, Wolf Brigade suit with his Mauser rifle. He emerged out of a tunnel, and one Wolf Brigade squad, led by one Fuse, encountered him.
Roel's POV
I basically have the opportunity to say to their faces on how I used the simple psychology technique of sublimation. They held their Mausers at me just in case I would attack; the red eyes on their helmets glowed menacingly. I came to them in peace and said to them with a dry smirk, "Don't worry, I am in peace, guys. Guess what? I found a set of your iconic, dystopian attire in my world, and I applied the psychological method of sublimation in turning its nightmarish look into an armor of defense for the innocent."
They put down their weapons.
I cannot tell if they are surprised or upset, for the helmets had obscured their faces.
But then, one of them, Fuse, came forward and took off his helmet. "That was quite impressive…" he whispered while gesturing his comrades to put down their weapons completely, "…turning the very thing that was a nightmare for you into something positive and productive."
His comrades put down their weapons completely.
"Yup!" I chirped. "Clever, right? After all, it's just a suit made of metal and leather. I can just change the association of it into something better with a right mindset."
"I wished I could do that…" Fuse chuckled, agreeing with me, "…maybe you should write a fanfic of this world being better than the original."
Because of that, I had an idea, so I took it to heart. "Okay, thanks for the suggestion."
The dream vanished.
The next morning, I woke up, still laughing. The first thing I did this morning at 5:30 a.m. was to log the ideas for a better version of "Jin Roh" in my agenda journal with a dark blue matte cover. The story will be written soon…
My morning routine for today was to clear a horde of mobs, consisting of A-ranked Red Slimes and hostile A-ranked Giant Green Snakes, with Kazaki and Aife.
I did not say anything about the dream until…
[7:20 a.m., at Kazaki's house…]
"So, a dream?" Kazaki asked, munching on his morning French toast.
"Yup!" I chirped while slurping my soup of chicken and corn. "And I saw Fuse and his Wolf Brigade squad in the tunnels, and get this, Fuse-san complimented my Sublimation style of the use of the AOBF suits of theirs."
These words prompted Kazaki to spit out his tea in shock; his eyes bulged on my words.
Aife, meanwhile, was having breakfast at her home.
And then, Kazaki lost his composure and doubled over so hard he slammed his hand against the wooden table repeatedly. This causes confusion on Reina-san and her mother. "Oh, man, you're insane!" he wheezed. "You're so insane you practically pacify them with your psychological method of Sublimation. Nice!"
"Thanks!" I smiled. "Anyway, we had 2 more days of studying for the exams. It will cover basic math, basic history, and combat that allows you to choose one of the styles: gunnery, swordsman, and magic."
"Oh, I need to study more and think of one of the three combat test option," Kazaki responded.
