"Moving." Malphite, Shard of the Monolith
Fast paced. I know. It is what it is.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Karma's eyes widened, "You.... you have escaped..."
A woman appeared in the sky, silver hair fluttering in the wind as a she gradually floated toward them. A helm stood on her head, the horns on it aimed toward the sky. A dark purple and black aura surrounded her. Her clothes and helm matched the aura. An evil purple.
"Escaped?" The woman smiled as her feet touched the ground, "I was imprisoned for only five years Darha. I've been free all this while."
The green glow around Karma intensified, "Then why are you here? Here in front of us all instead of hiding away.... Syndra?"
Syndra shrugged, "Why?"
KRAACCK
Space itself shattered in front of them, forming a dark orb the size of a head.
Zaahen raised his glaive, ready to swing it.
The inside of the orb showed the council.
"Watching you discuss the fate of Ionia bored me." Syndra answered gesturing to the orb, "Hence I chose to graciously make an appearance."
"You shouldn't exist." Karma spoke.
Syndra laughed, "So shouldn't you. But you are here aren't you? Centuries of hopping between vessels, killing their consciousness to make way for yours."
"They give themselves to me." Karma answered.
"No." Syndra shook her head, "You force them to. Darha there was forced. She did not get the chance to experience the world before you appeared before her. She did not know what would happen to her once she accepted you."
The green wheel behind Karma began to spin, "You do not know the truth. Evil like you should not exist."
Syndra pointed to the orb, "I can see it all remember." She brought a hand to her chin, "And do you not believe in balance? And you Master Kennen? Do you not?"
Kennen looked at her, "You do not balance anything."
"Tut tut..." Syndra shook her head, "But I do. I exist to oppose her." She stared at Karma, "My existence was intended to stand against the protector of Ionia. As its destroyer. All because she would not move on from her initial role of a guide. You weren't meant to continue your duty for multiple lifetimes Darha."
"Do not call me that." Karma replied.
"Darha is the name given to your body." Syndra replied, "As was Jakgri, your previous vessel. Jakgri had to give up his chance to have a family of his own because of your demands."
The green glow around Karma receded, "What is it that you require?"
Syndra looked over the council, "What else? To participate. I would not like to see Ionia destroyed... yet."
"Then why not face the Noxians?" Irelia stepped forth, "If you have power enough to lift mountains.... you could have saved many lives."
Syndra looked at her, "The Bladedancer. I have seen you fight ferociously. Even watched as you disarmed their GrandGeneral." She looked around the council before looking back at her, "Ionians did everything in their power to continually harm me. Jealousy. Fear. Contempt. All because I had control over magic the likes they could not fathom. And your Spirit of Ionia here sealed me inside a lake. I do not owe you nor Ionia anything. And do not worry... I am not inclined to destroy Ionia either. It is beneath me to destroy something that is destroying itself."
"You are not welcome here Syndra." Karma stood against her. "Leave. Your pathetic excuse will not stand here."
Zaahen lowered his spear, "If she wishes to help.... then it is fine."
"Yes." Yunara supported him, "Any ally is welcome. And a strong one is worth more as an ally for this war than as a bystander."
"We accept this too." The monks of Hirana stood up as well.
Zed and his order stood back, not choosing to interfere but internally, he had began making plans involving this mysterious new figure. Plans to bring her over to his side.
"I suppose this place does look drab without the sun shining down on it." Syndra muttered as she waved her hand.
The mountain slowly began to move to the side and sunlight filtered through.
"That's a lot better." She commented before looking over them all, "Then lets begin shall we?"
Karma's eyes stayed on Syndra for a while before she sighed and began laying out her plans.
"Right now... we have sufficient knowledge of the two main forces that are coming to attack." She began.
Two points began to glow red on the floating map in front of them.
"Here. In the Rainbowed Canyons of Shi." She pointed at a spot and it enlarged. Bodies of land that were fractured with holes glowing in the colors of the spectrum of light. "The Darkin known as Xolaani has gained a host and has created thralls of her own in the area. It is close to the home of the Wuju Order."
An image of the Darkin formed above the map.
"No." Master Yi trembled. "This cannot be...."
All eyes fell on him.
"That is Jun." He whispered, "My pupil."
Karma stopped him, "That is now Xolaani. Your pupil has passed."
"Then we go after her." The Vastaya beside him spoke, the mask of disinterest falling replaced by seriousness.
Master Yi turned to him.
"That is our responsibility now Master Yi." He spoke, "We stop our own."
"Kong..."
The Vastaya smiled at him, "Wukong. Don't get the name wrong."
"This Darkin.... We will face it." Master Yi said as he turned toward the rest.
Karma shook her head, "You cannot face them alone. They have an army."
Master Yi smiled, "And we have the Wuju style."
"I cannot-"
"Let them." Zaahen interrupted, "They will prevail. Though I know nothing of the Wuju style... I do know of that monkey."
"Hey!" Wukong called out, taking insult at being called that.
Zaahen did not respond, "The Stone Monkey will not fail."
Wukong turned to Master Yi, "How'd he know I can turn to stone?"
Karma's eyes widened, "Stone Monkey?" She stared at Wukong, "Of course.... I did not consider it... but..." She then nodded, "Then the two of you go. Alone."
"Forgive my interruption." Zed looked at Wukong, "But what good are two people going to do here?"
"That is not something you need to know Zed." Kennen answered. "There are things beyond your knowledge."
"What weapon do you use?" Zaahen asked Wukong.
"A staff."
He turned to Karma who nodded.
"Now. The spirits have informed us that Xolaani is moving west in order to face the next threat."
Another image formed in front of them.
"Aatrox. He leads a legion of Darkin and a large army of mortals toward Ionia. And from his previous actions.... He will not stop unless he is either beat or he destroys our home."
"Our combined efforts will be needed to stop this force." Kennen explained, "Aatrox was their general. The strongest among them. We need anyone and everyone to face this calamity."
The group began talking over themselves.
"How many enemies would that be?"
"Can they be beaten back?"
"How long do we have?"
KRAAACKKK
Space shattered once again as another dark orb materialized.
"Sorry to disturb your coherent discussion but there is one more force." Syndra spoke, turning to Zaahen, "Would you care to introduce them?"
"How do you know of this?" Zaahen asked.
"My husband is currently looking into this." Syndra chuckled, "So I decided to do a little background check."
Zaahen let out a heavy sigh.
The group's attention fell on him.
"There is one more force. I do not know if this person is fully willing to join our cause but he is very dangerous."
"He is not our enemy?" Yunara asked.
Zaahen shook his head, "As of now.... no."
ZWOWOOOOOOM
A bright blue glow spread out through the council, overpowering the sunlight.
Members of the council raised their hands to block the sudden appearance of light.
A glowing sword appeared in front of them.
"The Spirit Sword!" Akali exclaimed.
Then, two figures materialized in front of them.
Shen. The Eye of Twilight.
And a cloaked man.
"I apologize for the delay. I was indisposed." Shen said as he looked around, his body freezing as he spotted Syndra, "Why are you here?"
