The next day, Jayden assembly all his workers for an urgent meeting, They hurried to the conference hall and sat down to wait for him, they were a little scared because whenever there is an urgent meeting like this, it means something had gone wrong or someone did something that offended him, and it can put everyone job at stake. not too long after, he enters with his secretary and they all rise and bow to him, he sits down and orders them to sit. they sat down panicking.
"Good day everyone, I called this meeting because they have been a little of an adjustment". he said and everyone became relaxed a little, then he continued. " From now henceforth, weekends are free days for everyone to do whatever they want to do at home". he said and they gasped in amusement."Yes, use that day to correct your wrongs and also have fun with your lives, and if any of you request for a day off, it will be granted". they were murmuring excitedly." so, work hard and enjoy your day" He stood up to leave and they stood up as well thanking him. he left for his office with his secretary as he could see the excitement on everyone's faces.
Later in the evening, Both were eating in the dining room alone, Maya was happy that Jayden fulfilled his promises.
"he does have a good side within," she said to herself smiling, Jayden noticed her smiling.
"Why are you smiling?". he asked and Maya regained herself and cleared her throat.
" Nothing". she replied.
"Really? But you are not touching your food".
" I am" " She takes a scoop of the meal and chews gently.
"Anyway, thanks for what you did".
" Don't thank me, I only did it because of what I will gain and also for my own benefit".he said, and Maya scoffed.
"At least you still have half a human sympathy with you". she said.
" Hmm, you think so". he gloats.
"Yeah, whatever".
" I have done my part, now it's time for your part". he said and Maya looked away.
Some hours later, Jayden enters Maya's room to see her sleep, he moves and sleeps next to her, meanwhile, Maya is not deep in her sleep, she gulps anxiously as she feels Jayden cuddle her in his warmth, and she can feel his breath beneath her face, she squeezes herself and closes her eyes tight to ease her tension.
"Can you promise never to cross your boundaries more than this?" She asked.
"I thought you were asleep?".
" I was, but your tight arm around me woke me up," she said unlikely and Jayden giggled.
"Don't worry, I won't cross my limit, I have self-control, okay?". he said and She sighed." Just be free, I won't do anything to you without your consent". he added.
"And you think I will ever allow you to get more closer to me like this? Don't dream it". she said and Jayden chuckled.
" Don't worry, I won't dream it, you are not my type, I will stick to our contact, once the baby is born, you can do whatever you want to do with your life, I won't stop you".
"And I can't wait to get out of this prison of a house, it's like I am stuck in here".
" Yeah, right! Please let's sleep, I have a busy day tomorrow". he said and Maya scoffed.
A week later, Mia came out of the bar with a heavy bag of trash and struggled with them to the bin, a voice interrupted her from behind.
"Do you need help with that?" Ryan asked and she turned in his direction looking surprised.
"You? What are you doing here?" She asked tiredly.
"I stop by to grab a drink". he said smiling at her.
" Really? At this time? It's just noon, don't you have things that keep you busy?". she asked, and Ryan chuckled.
"I do, but, I am in my free hour".
" And you decide to use this your free time to drink in a bar, just admit you are here to stalk on someone". she said. "And please, you can go, I don't want to get into trouble by talking with one of the Williams Sons ". She added and continued with what she was doing.
" Are you sure you don't need help with that?". he asked.
"No, thanks". she replied.
" What a girl". he walks up to her and grabs the bag from her, Mia was caught off guard by his attitude." I will do it". he walks to the trash bin and dumps the bag in it.
"I said I don't need your help, why do you have to do that?" She frowned at him.
"You are welcome". he said.
" You are something". she sighed and walked away, Ryan stared after her smiling, and then went inside.
Some minutes later, Ryan was having his piña colada drink at the same time staring secretly at Mia who was busy attending to customers, just then a pretty well-shaped lady stood in his front, she had this perfect face and skin color, Ryan stared confusedly at her wondering why she is giving him that flirtatious gaze.
"Hey, handsome, need some company?". She asked firmly.
" Not really, how can I be of help to a pretty damsel like you?"He asked politely and she blushed.
"Nothing really, I just saw you over there sitting alone so, I decided to come over and see if you need some company". she smiles lovingly at him.
" That's nice".
"By the way, am Annabel".
" Nice name, am Ryan". they shook hands.
"Wait, why does this name sound so familiar, are you by any means related to Williams?" she asked and Ryan smiled, and she snapped quickly." yes! I knew it, I thought as much, this face kinda looks familiar and I have seen this face before on TV stations and even in a magazine". she said."I guess today is my lucky day to be sitting and chatting with one of William's sons ". she added.
" Well, I guess, is nice meeting you too".
"would you mind taking me somewhere, we can have all the time alone and make the best of it". she said and flirted with him, Ryan was surprised to see the moves she was making on him.
" Um," he pushed her hand slightly away from his body."Am sorry, that won't be possible, I only have a minute and here and--" he got interrupted.
"Maybe we can do it some other time". she said and Ryan was feeling uncomfortable with her and suddenly Mia interrupted them from behind, although she had been staring at them and noticed Ryan wasn't comfortable with the lady sitting next to him.
" Am sorry to interrupt you sir, but the manager is waiting for you at the VIP lounge, Mr.Williams". she said, Ryan was a little bit confused, but suddenly understood what she meant and stood up.
"Yeah, I almost forgot what brought me here, please excuse me". he left and Mia followed him behind. They arrived at the lobby and Ryan sighed in relief. " Thanks for helping me out in there". he said turning to her.
"Sure, you can use the back door to escape ". she said and walked away before Ryan could say another word, he stared after her for a while and then walked away.
Lucas was on the phone with someone as he sat in his mini bar drinking.
" Good, I need more details about her". he hung up. "What are you up to Jayden? I just found out that she isn't your woman, who is she to your family that she is in everyone's protection?" he smirked gulping his drink. " I will find out and I will have her to myself, I don't know why I can't stop thinking about her". he mumbled.
Jayden was piling up some work when his secretary walked in.
"Good day, sir, Mr. Matthew just called to inform us about the meeting being held in France tomorrow by eight am". she said.
" Ok, get the things ready, we leave now". he said
"Ok, sir, " she left shutting the door behind. Jayden picks up his phone to call Maya, but he hesitates and drops the phone contemplating.
"Should I inform her that I won't be home today?" he sighed. Just then his secretary came back to inform him everything was ready, he stood up and they both left for the car and the driver drove them directly to the airport, His private jet was already prepared to take off, he got in with his secretary and two of his guards and the jet takes off.
Maya was seated alone in the dining room, she wondered why Jayden hadn't returned from his office by now and he hadn't called or sent a text to her. She waited for another extra hour, but he didn't show up, she noticed her meal was already cold, and she stood up with the meal to microwave it. After eating, she went to bed as she prayed silently for Jayden's safety.
