"Take Mira and run!" Alex shouted at Althea.
Now that Althea had noticed the commotion and arrived, she naturally decided to see what was going on. Even if Alex hadn't threateningly called her over, she would have come of her own accord. Her vision just happened to land on the terrifying scene of the Void Beast emerging from the rift in space.
This fight was way out of her league. She took Mira from Alex in an instant.
"I've got her; we'll get out of here as far as possible!" Nobody argued with Althea, a Variant Class powerhouse, leaving the scene, as even at her level, there was nothing she could do in this fight.
Alex knew that if Mira were conscious, she would do her damnedest to stick around, undoubtedly having a hard time leaving Alex behind. But Alex had done his job in keeping her safe, and now the situation had changed.
If she stuck around with him, then she was in even greater danger than if Althea whisked her away.
