Robin Matthews handed Carson Flores over to Aden Matthews and then turned to leave.
"Follow him, do as you're told, and you'll benefit. Otherwise, your life might be at stake."
Carson appeared meek and obedient, keeping his head down, seemingly afraid to make eye contact. In reality, he was worried they would see through him. Despite his outward fear, he felt no fear internally.
"Come with me."
Aden Matthews spoke kindly to Robin but showed no kindness to Carson, giving a low command as he led the way.
Carson followed behind Aden, eyeing his unguarded back. He secretly wondered that if he unleashed a Black Dragon Wave, this guy might not even have a speck left of him.
Aden Matthews led Carson through the city to the waterfall cascading from the Nine Heavens.
In front of the waterfall were rows of pavilions, mostly two stories high. They weren't large, but each was exquisitely built, with a beautiful surrounding that seemed like a fairyland, shrouded in white mist.
