Chapter 263 - Delving deep again(2)

The fifty first to fifty seventh floors were a labyrinth, supposedly a rarity this far down. The strange thing about them besides the fact they were somehow structurally weak enough for the Valgang dragons on the fifty eighth floor to blast through was the nearly perfect shape of them. Each wall was perfectly flat with ninety degree corners and a single plain grey coloration. It had been described as though the entire place had been carefully measured and carved by hand and I had to agree. It was eerie how perfect the place was.-

One would think that with the Valgang dragons blasting holes through the labyrinth whenever they detected someone in it there would be no other monsters here but no it was the opposite. There were eight species of monsters in the labyrinth and all of them were real nuisances apparently. Black rhinos, Deformis spiders, Cadmus, Virga, Venom scorpions, Thunder snakes, Silver worms and Ill wyverns. Black rhinos were the Minotaur and Barbarians even bigger and meaner cousin. Large tanky mother fuckers with two curved horns on their head and thick hide that even a level six would have trouble cutting through without really trying.-

Deformis spiders were arachnophobia the movie made real and colorful. They were nightmare fuel sized bright red and purple nuisances that like to play surprise from around dark corners as you run for your fucking life from the dragons floor sniping your ass, not fun at all. Then there was Cadmus. This thing was what the equivalent to the Infant dragon that shows up on the foggy floors. The strongest thing to spawn in on floor fifty one and a level six monster to boot. It wasn't very large but had a powerful body and blue scales that shone like sapphires. -

It was also one of the rare dragon type ones that preferred physical combat to just blasting it's problems away with fire. Not to say it couldn't, just it preferred not to. Then there was the Virga that nobody liked. These things were big ass caterpillar monsters that spat acid at you and exploded in an acid spray when killed in any way other than breaking their stones, like not so good for your health piñatas. These fuckers were considered really unpopular by every adventurer group that ever makes it down this far as a result.-

Then there was the Venom scorpions that were basically just really big scorpions, not terribly interesting or special. The thunder snakes were large yellow snakes about the size of a person that were also kinda electric eels on steroids. That was to say they literally had thunder magic sparking off them constantly, also they were venomous. Silver worms were literal silver snakes the size of a person and venomous, that's it. Finally there was the ILL wyverns that were flying bluish purple dragon type monsters three meters long that had a hobby of chasing people they found and pelting them with explosive fireballs, think dodgeball but for keeps.-

You can't count the Valgang dragons as part of these floors despite their obvious interference in them since the dragons themselves were on the fifty eighth floor which was technically a new biome. That said these floors were called the Dragon vase because of them anyways. The fifty first floor was the one that most of the monsters I just listed spawned in at because the Valgang dragons didn't snipe this floor. A small but vicious trick by the dungeon for those unaware I believe.-

Floor fifty two was where things got hot, literally. That fire breath was incredibly hot and just as potent force wise as if that wasn't bad enough. The worse part though was that for most people it was next to impossible to tell if or when a fire breath was coming as you moved through the floor since by the time a warning sign showed up you had about two milliseconds to get the fuck out the way. I wouldn't have this problem thanks to literally being able to "see" the floors below me with my technique. The moment a breath goes plowing through them I'll be able to react and get out the way in ample time.-

As for trying to get materials from the monsters on these floors? Forget it. Theres no chance once I cross into the fifty second floor. That said I stepped onto the fifty first floor and immediately crouched down and pressed my palm against the ground before activating my technique. Immediately my "sight" covered the entire floor and I saw the location of each and every monster here, it was time to hunt. Most of the monster on this floor were high level fours with two low fives in the form of the Black rhinos and ILL wyverns. Cadmus was the only real exception as a level six monster but those were rare.-

Currently on this floor there were twenty four Black rhinos, twelve Deformis spiders, one Cadmus, fifteen Virga, Fifteen Venom scorpions, ten Thunder snakes, five Silver worms and seven Ill wyverns. Naturally they were all spread out and not together or that would be a hellish scenario for anyone else. Once I knew where they were I took off towards the closest monster, a Deformis spider waiting around the corner to my right.-

"Surprise bitch!" I yelled as I rounded the corner sending out two beams of erasure from my finger tips removing the legs from the things body as it screamed a shrill scream in agony.

To no surprise the venoms of monsters were always in high demand on the alchemical market and I always look out for my favorite medicine god. I ignored the wiggling and constant attempts to latch onto me with fangs that the spider did as I walked up to it and pressed my hand against it's back. With a gross "Squelch!" sound the beast fell still as it's carapace broke and two fully intact and more importantly sealed venom glands were extracted.
