A/N: Hey everyone. Sorry for the late update. I had three exams and a cold at once so I was not able to write at all for the last two weeks. This chapter is a bit shorter because of that. I once again remind everyone to please comment ideas or suggestions if it occurs to you.
After exiting the tomb and leaving the capital Robin and I traveled back to Rainbase, where I picked up my Lloyd clone and stored him with the others.
"I thought you said this "wood release" of yours lets you create and control plants. But you can make clones as well?" Robin asked with her head tilted curiously.
"Yes," I nodded. "Wood release comes from a world where everyone possesses a power known as "Chakra". I create a body from living plants using chakra and copy an imprint of my consciousness into the form, thus creating a wood clone."
Her eyes sparkled in intrigue. "How interesting. In a way it's similar to my own devil fruit. Though I can only create a duplicate of part of my body."
"Thats not true actually."
She turned to me after I spoke, puzzled.
I cracked a smile. "I've seen your future, remember? You can in fact create full body clones of yourself. Actually, from what I saw you can even create massive clones of yourself that can stand at the same height as a giant. And you can still do even more than that"
She could also manifest actual demon attributes after enough development but I had no idea if that was just advanced mastery or awakening.
"Really? How interesting." She placed her hand on her chin. "I've always used my devil fruit as it was when I first obtained it, I've never tried to actively develop it."
"Yeah, in the future I've seen it took you two years to develop those techniques, but now that you know what to try and accomplish you can probably speed that up." I said as we exited the city.
"So, where are we going now?" Robin looked around, not seeing anything of note.
"We're going to the location of another Poneglyph, The island in the sky: Skypiea. I plan to set up a base there."
Robin perked up instantly as the mention of another poneglyph, "A Sky island? Do they truly exist?" she asked, eagerness veiled behind her calm visage.
"Yes, and this particular sky island also contains another piece of lost history."
"Oh? And what would that be?" She eagerly waited for my answer.
"You are familiar with the story of Nolan the Liar, yes?" I gave her a hint. Watching this woman think was honestly quite entertaining so instead of simply telling her it let her put the pieces together.
She recoiled slightly, momentarily confused by the seemingly abrupt shift in topic. But then she began to think about the legend.
I could see in real time as she figured it out. A moment later and her eyes snapped open, wide as saucers.
"The city of gold? Does it really exist?"
"Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!" I cheered, gaining immense amusement at the sight of her dumbfounded face. "The Golden city of Shandora exists. It was blasted upwards into the sky by an incredibly powerful current known as the knock up stream."
"That poor man," Robin uttered, referring to Noland.
"Yeah, it truly is a tragic tale." I concurred. "Anyway, we're here."
We hadn't stopped walking since we started talking, now we stood before… Nothing.
"Where are we exactly?" she asked, puzzled. There was nothing in the area other than a small path of sand that was slightly more raised than the rest.
"I'm about to introduce you to one of my companions" I said before walking over to the raised paths of sand.
"Wake up Justice!" I shouted and slammed my fist into the ground using emission to create a min-shockwave.
"What did you do that fo-?" Robin began to question.
Not a moment later the sand before us exploded upwards.
And there she was. After the last few weeks of traveling and eating wild beasts instead of marine rations, Justice had grown to about half the size of a small sea king. Using the lids cycle names from the How to train your dragon universe. She had finally moved from her "tiny tooth" hatchling/ juvenile stage to her "short wing" young adult stage.
Her four massive wings cast a massive shadow over us. Three venomous, metallic-plated tails raised and ready to strike. The blue frill around her neck flared for intimidation, and the metallic spined across her back lit up with small arcs of lightning.
She let out a defensive roar and swung her head around, looking for whoever decided to interrupt her well-earned nap in the sand.
Fortunately, the moment her mind reading brushed against my mind she calmed down. Although she did shoot me a dirty look. She was not happy to have been awakened.
'Lazy dragon' I thought. I then needed to duck as one of the venomous-metallic spines on her middle tail was flung at me.
"Hey, it's true!"
She huffed in annoyance and turned her attention to the other mind she had sensed.
Robin, who had until this point been shocked into slack-jawed silence. Glanced at me nervously.
"This is Justice." I said introducing her. "She is one of my companions, as well as our ride."
Said companion rolled her eyes at being referred to as a "ride" but let it do the moment she noticed that Robin was female.
I was then treated to the sight of a dragon wearing a very smug grin with a look in her eyes that basically said: "taking my advice huh? Good choice."
I countered her smugness with my own eye roll. "I'm not taking your advice, let's just get going." I said.
'The faster we get to Skypiea the faster you get to fight Enel.' I thought to her.
After reading my memories for so long, justice also pretty much knew the entire storyline of one piece as well. Her most anticipated meeting was with Enel for the simple reason of wanting to see how the lightning from the Goro-Goro no mi interacted with her Skrill Biology.
My mental message snapped her out of her teasing mood and immediately lowered herself so that we could climb on.
Robin was still in shock at the fact that a fucking dragon had just burst from the sand and had started having a one sided conversion with me.
"H-hello Justice, it's Nice to meet you" she gave a hesitant wave after snapping out of her stupor.
She glanced at me "Can she understand us?" she asked in a hushed voice, to which Justice nodded causing Robin to stare.
"She doesn't just understand us, she can read minds."
Robin stared at me for a while before turning towards Justice once more. No words were spoken but in quick succession the dragon raised her front claw and showed two talons, then three, then four, then one.
"Alright, I believe that. I assume that she came from another world?" Robin finally said, accepting the fact that the massive, majestic creature before her could read her every thought.
I smiled and hopped onto Justice's back. A thought occurred to me.
"Here, take this," I said, pulling the Starlight Gem Necklace from my inventory and tossing it to Robin.
She caught it and raised an eyebrow before turning to examine it, "is this one of the 'enhancement items' you mentioned?"
"Yep, now let's get going. We don't have much time to spare." I said holding out my hand for her to take.
She took it and I pulled her onto Justice's back. "Id hold onto some of the spikes. She likes to fly fancy sometimes."
Justice responded to that by firing yet another metallic spine at my head. Robin wisely took my advice and got a good grip on the lightning conductive spikes to her sides.
A moment later Justice spread her wings and took off. Setting us on our course for Jaya.
I heard the system ding, signifying a new task had appeared.
