Over time, Yun Ya's knees became almost numb. Yan Song noticed her discomfort and quietly held her hand, "Why don't you go to the back and rest for a while? I'll handle things here."
Yun Ya shook her head, returning a steadfast look, "I can hold on."
Yan Song looked at her with pity, gripping her hand tightly.
Uncle Chen entered without drawing any attention, locking eyes with Yun Ya. Yan Song started to stand, but Yun Ya pulled him back and whispered, "Let me go and check."
Zhuang Xiyue was overwhelmed with grief all day, consumed by tears. Uncle Chen wanted to ask something of her but couldn't bring himself to say it, so he turned to Yun Ya for help.
"Uncle Chen, what's the matter?" Yun Ya asked quietly as she walked to a secluded spot with him.
"Miss Liang is here. Mr. Yan previously instructed that aside from those on the list, no one else is allowed in. Naturally, Miss Liang is included in those not permitted. It seems like there's no chance between them anymore."
