Hearing that Bai Xuanyu was also looking for him, Wen Yan couldn't help being stunned. He glanced suspiciously at the door of Bai Xuanyu's office, then at Bai Xuanyu's secretary, wanting to see if he could pick up on anything.
"Chairman, he's here."
The acting chairman's chief secretary reached out to help Wen Yan push open the office door, reported briefly, then turned back, his face full of smiles as he faced Wen Yan.
"Mr. Wen Yan, please come in."
Seeing this, Wen Yan could only nod and step into Bai Xuanyu's chairman's office.
At this moment, Bai Xuanyu was sitting behind his desk, head down over a stack of documents, handling company affairs.
Hearing movement at the door, Bai Xuanyu looked up and saw Wen Yan walk in. With a soft "click," he capped the pen in his hand.
"Chairman Xuanyu." Wen Yan said calmly as he walked over.
All these years, whether in public or in private, the way he and Bai Xuanyu treated each other had always carried far too much distance.
