They had noticed the city long ago.
But they hadn't paid it much mind. Even moments before, when the city unleashed terrifying beams of light powerful enough to threaten them, they weren't particularly astonished.
Now, however, that perception changed.
The aura and power emanating from the ancient city felt unfamiliar, and at the same time, they couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of danger.
"We retreat first!"
The demons fell back, trying various methods to tear open the void and escape this space. No matter what, getting away seemed like the right thing to do.
Unexpectedly, their mighty power, which should have easily shattered the void, was ineffective within this domain.
No matter how hard they tried, unleashing bursts of demonic light, this space didn't ripple in the slightest, as if they were venting their fury on empty air. It was as if the rules governing this domain were more sophisticated than the laws they commanded.
