Spirit influence is bidirectional.
When those Undead Lords are at a low level, it's the Soul Pool that influences them.
But if the Lord is strong enough, they will in turn influence the Soul Pool, even affecting the entire territory.
The stronger the Lord, the stronger this influence becomes.
It's hard to say whether those unique territories created those Advanced Undead Lords, or if those Advanced Undead Lords persistently influenced the territories.
Judging by Gaven's current display, the latter seems more likely.
