On the land of the West Continent, the great war between the Demonic Tao and the Ghost Clan thus fell into a stalemate.
The Demonic Tao was unwilling, nor did they wish to bow their heads and negotiate with a faction weaker than themselves; in their view, doing so would invite mockery from the other factions.
Meanwhile, the Ghost Clan had their own difficulties; seeking peace now was tantamount to revealing that they could no longer persist, likely inciting the Demonic Tao's fighting spirit.
Under such circumstances, the intensity of the war sharply diminished.
Perhaps it should no longer be called a great war, but rather harassment.
