Chapter 272 - Chapter 272

---Next Morning---

Snuggled up tightly with my lovers, the Daedric Prince Nocturnal and Lala, I was enjoying this rare leisurely morning. With nothing planned for the day but meeting my parents, we had happily chosen to sleep in. As I listened to my partners' soft, steady breathing, I sincerely wished for this moment to continue forever, but life had other ideas.

"Hello, is anyone awake?", Slaanesh questioned in a hushed voice as she opened our bedroom door.

Slaanesh peered into our room, a mischievous smile already playing on her lips as she registered we were still in bed. Flamboyantly, Slaanesh slithered over to our bedside and hopped in with us. With flawless precision, she maneuvered herself through the sprawl of bodies and landed onto my abdomen with a triumphant giggle.

"This is one of the few opportunities I have seen you let your guard down, Victor. I know I promised to behave myself, but how can I not make a move when I see you in this state?", Slaanesh softly questioned, making herself comfortable on my chest. "Hopefully you won't mind giving me a bit of sugar, right?"

Sliding sinuously up my chest, Slaanesh positioned herself for a kiss. Just as she leaned in, my eyes flew open, causing her to freeze in place. The seductive smile on her face abruptly turned to horror as she trembled, terrified of what would happen next.

"Care to explain what you are doing?", I questioned with an inquisitive smirk.

"I… Uh…", Slaanesh stammered, scrambling to think of an excuse. "I was about to kill a fly that had perched itself on your face. Sorry for waking you!"

She immediately tried to pull away, but I fixed her in place using the Force. For a moment, the former Chaos God struggled, a look of perverse delight contorting her face before she finally gave in.

"Oh my, going straight for bondage play, are we?", Slaanesh whispered, vibrating with excitement. "Ravage me to your heart's content, Victor!"

"Really, Slaanesh? Is there ever a moment you are not feeling naughty?", I chuckled, staring into her eyes. "Tell you what, Slaanesh. If you can behave yourself, I will let you continue to relax on my chest for a while longer."

"Really!?", Slaanesh gasped, eyes sparkling with utter happiness. "You got yourself a deal."

Immediately ceasing her antics, a subtle sigh escaped her lips as I laid her down. Nuzzling her face against my chest, Slaanesh began to relax as she made herself comfortable.

"Would it be out of line for me to request more moments like this in the future?", Slaanesh asked as her breathing slowed. "While I enjoy naughty things, this is just as nice…"

"Hmm, I suppose I could be convinced to allow it. In exchange, could you please tone down the naughtiness a few notches?", I countered. "If you intend to become my wife, you need to accept there is a time and place for it."

With a groggy acknowledgment, Slaanesh accepted my offer before falling asleep. Closing my eyes as well, I allowed myself to drift back to sleep again.

---An Hour Later---

Sleepily staggering back to bed after a bathroom run, Tohru noticed Slaanesh sleeping on my chest. Initially paying it no mind, it was only when she was about to drift off again that the offending sight fully registered.

With a ferocious roar that rattled the mansion, the dragoness exploded upward, lunging across the mattress with blinding speed. Seizing Slaanesh by the throat before she could react, the two of them tumbled over the side of the bed and slammed onto the floor. Tohru's second, more guttural roar immediately drowned Slaanesh's yelp of shock and perverted delight.

"What are you doing in our bedroom, homewrecker!?", Tohru snarled, pinning her to the floor.

Jarred awake by the commotion, I immediately summoned Stormbreaker to me. Erecting a barrier around my family, Aela held her dagger at the ready while Bo-Katan and Samus scanned the room with their laser pistols. Quickly confirming the area was clear, my lovers looked over the edge of the bed to see what was going on. Upon seeing Slaanesh and Tohru wrestling for dominance, a collective sigh escaped their lips.

"Cease this at once!", I barked, lowering the barrier. "I appreciate your concern, Tohru, but Slaanesh poses no threat to me."

"Are you absolutely certain?", Tohru pressed me, slowly disengaging from Slaanesh.

"My mind is impervious to mind control and unwanted psychic powers thanks to the Spirit of Vengeance and Starweaver. Their presence within my body gives me a natural immunity to such things.", I explained, my tone reassuring. "Now please, calm yourself. Your bloodlust is going to scare Kanna and Nuelalla."

Immediately quelling her rage, a hiss of steam briefly escaped Tohru's lips before she apologized for startling everyone. Understanding her reasoning, Lucoa and the others let it slide this time. With order restored, Isha and Lileath turned to Slaanesh with cold fury.

"I thought we had an understanding…", Isha remarked, crossing her arms.

"On my tarnished honor, I swear I did nothing naughty with Victor. All I did was fall asleep on his chest, no more, no less.", Slaanesh stated, looking them in the eyes. "Until I make amends, it's the only form of physical comfort I can receive from him."

Convinced of her truthfulness, the duo nodded their heads in acceptance. While they were unhappy about her cozying up to me, it was too late to renegotiate their agreement.

"Now that we have settled things, how about going back to bed?", Lala suggested, tugging playfully on my arm. "I want a few more hours of snuggling with Victor, hehe!"

"Mmm, that does sound appealing.", Nocturnal purred, kissing my cheek as she wriggled in closer. "Unfortunately, we do not have the time for that. It is nearly ten, and his parents are expecting us around eleven."

Gesturing toward the clock on the wall, everyone looked upon it with dismay. Begrudgingly sliding out of bed, my lovers staggered into the bathroom to get ready. With attention taken from her, Slaanesh made a hasty retreat to her bedroom. As the women dressed and freshened up, I headed downstairs to begin preparing breakfast.

---Bartfort Territory---

Upon our arrival, my father and mother came down to the docks to welcome us. Giving my mother a hug, I took the opportunity to introduce her to my family. Initially excited to meet them, her eager smile faltered and quickly turned to shock as the sheer number of my partners—and the variety of our household—registered.

"Leon… I mean, Victor, hold on a moment!", Luce requested, just as I reached the Twi'leks. "How is your household's financial situation? Surely, having so many women living under your roof must be very expensive."

"Of all the things to get caught up on, that is what you pick?", Bo-Katan questioned, trying not to laugh. "You know, most mothers would worry about the type of women their son was getting involved with."

"Victor is an excellent judge of character. If he is comfortable enough bringing you into his household, that is all the proof I need.", Luce spoke with absolute certainty. "Now tell me the truth. Are you doing alright, Victor?"

Assuring my mother my finances were in perfect order, she gave me a skeptical look. As my father was terrible with money, Luce forced me to show her my books. After a quick review of my books, she was relieved to see I took after her in that regret.

"Please forgive my rudeness, Victor. As of late, your father and elder brother, Nicks, have been making poor financial decisions.", Luce sighed. "They were trying to stockpile funds for Dorothea's unborn baby and got taken by a shady merchant."

Glaring at her husband in anger and frustration, Balcus hung his head in shame.

"The merchant promised high returns on investment with shares of a new manufacturer that supposedly turned monster drops into high-quality adventurer gear. The samples he brought were convincing enough for them to sink a substantial sum of money into it. Two weeks later, it was discovered that the company was a hoax.", Luce groaned. "Needless to say, when Dorothea and I found out, we put them in the doghouse for a week."

"Ouch!", Samus gasped, wincing with sympathetic pain. "How much are we talking?"

"Just under four hundred thousand dia…", Luce sighed, kicking Balcus in the shin.

While unfamiliar with the local currency, four hundred thousand was a large amount no matter where you were. Annoyed my father's idiocy was dragging the family down again, I offered to lend them some interest-free money. Thanking me for the offer, Luce respectfully declined, as she didn't want to put undue strain on us.

"Balcus and Nicks are working overtime in the distillery to recoup our losses. We should be back in the black by the end of the year.", Luce said, looking at my wives. "While the men have a chat, how about I show you around our little island? It's not much, but it's our cozy home."

"That sounds wonderful.", Amallyn spoke, gesturing for her to lead the way.

As Luce led them away, Balcus and I stood there in silence, unsure what to do. When the last of them disappeared behind a house, my father extended a nervous hand to me.

"It… It is good to see you again, son. You seem to be doing well out there, among the stars.", Balcus said, mustering his courage.

"You could say that. I've been dealing with a lot of crap.", I agreed, shaking his hand. "How are Dorothea and Nicks doing? Aside from being suckered out of a load of money."

"They are doing as well as can be expected of newlyweds.", Balcus stated, scratching the back of his head.

A silent moment passed before Balcus jumped headfirst into things. Starting by dropping to his knees, my father pressed his head to the ground in sincere remorse. Unable to find the right words, he began to cry right in front of me.

"Victor… I am so sorry for failing you as a father and mentor. My family suffered greatly because I am a cowardly, weak man. I allowed Zola and her children to walk all over you to protect our family name.", Balcus cried, pounding the soil with his fists. "The one time you needed me to stand firm, I buckled and nearly robbed you of your childhood friend. No amount of apologies and groveling can atone for my sin. I have accepted we will never have a father/son relationship anymore, but please… do not take your anger out on your mother."

"Father, I- ", I began.

Lifting his head, he stared into my eyes with a broken heart.

"Apart from your wedding day, your mother hasn't seen you in years. Countless holidays have passed without your presence, and your mother hasn't received any cards from you.", Balcus said, grabbing my leg. "The agonizing pain is slowly eating her alive, son. She feels guilty about not doing more to protect her children, but the fault lies with me alone. Luce did everything she could to protect both of you; please don't punish her for my actions."

Taken aback by his words, I realized I had been inadvertently punishing my mother and siblings. In my attempts to limit contact with my father, my actions had unjustly punished the rest of my family. Accepting that things needed to change, I helped my father back to his feet.

"For the longest time, a part of me wanted to kill you for allowing Rutart and Zora to take Roxanne from me. She has been by my side since the first time I left home, and we have been inseparable ever since. The one time I needed you to rise to the occasion and be the father I needed, you failed. Everything that came after was my way of coping with the pain and avoiding being around you.", I stated. "While we can never go back to being father and son, I am willing to build a relationship with you."

"I… I understand.", Balcus acknowledged, wiping his tears away. "Your mother will be ecstatic to have you around again, even if only for a few holidays a year."

"It won't be just my wives and I.", I remarked, turning back to the ship. "Kanna and Nuelalla, you can come down now."

In response to my summons, the two girls came running down the gangplank with stuffed animals in hand. Upon seeing his grandchildren, Balcus fell to his knees again.

"Daddy, who is this strange man?", Nuelalla asked, sticking close to me.

"This is your grandfather, Balcus Fou Bartfort.", I spoke.

Overwhelmed by the presence, Balcus began to violently weep. Believing he had robbed Luce of the chance to see them as infants, the guilt nearly shattered what remained of his fragile heart. Quickly explaining they were adopted, I made it abundantly clear I still saw them as my own.

"Is… Is that so?", Balcus said, relief washing over him. "It is nice to meet you, Kanna and Nuelalla."

"Hello.", Kanna replied. "I heard grandparents have the best yummy snacks; is that true?"

"Of… Of course!", Balcus acknowledged, rising to his feet.

Drawn in by the temptation of snacks, Kanna and Nuelalla walked up to him with an open hand. Grabbing hold, he began to lead them toward the mansion.
