The sun had began to rise over the horizon, the soft rays hitting over the St. Goken district with a good morning kiss to begin the new day. Luciel and Su-Yun were the first two in the Lee Residency to wake up, Su-Yun cracking open the door to check and see if her parents were awake and luckily they were not.
Quickly, the two quietly made their swift exit out of the house before Sa Nu Rim's Stigmata could activate and cause Su-Yun to transform. Once one of the sun's rays hit against Su-Yun's body, she began to glow brightly and transformed into Sa Nu Rim, both girls now in a frenzied state and rushed off swiftly.
"Yeesh, she doesn't give us a heads up or anything? Just straight into a Level 5 Wanted Level across Grushia huh?" Luciel asked as she dashed down the sidewalk with Su-Yun, glancing over at her with slight amusement.
"Aishhh! I wish I could get a heads up myself, and we still haven't found Ms. Kitty! Hopefully when we reach St. Goken Institution we could gain some clues of where she is and what's happening to me," Su-Yun said, continuing to run ahead then noticed Hyeon Bae riding out of an alleyway on her bike and gasped.
Hyeon Bae looked to her left, noticing Luciel and Su-Yun dashing down the sidewalk then gasped, flinching and holding her hands out to try to protect herself. "Stop!!"
Su-Yun hissed loudly as she noticed a wall of spiritual energy simmering to life in front of Hyeon Bae, skidding forward to stop her momentum then groaned as Luciel accidentally crashed into her. The two slammed into Hyeon Bae's protective wall of spiritual energy.
Hyeon Bae opened her eyes slowly, grunting softly as she noticed the two women on the ground then quickly hid her hands in her pockets before quickly getting off her bike. "I'm so sorry..! You two were just coming up so fast that I thought you were gonna crash into me.."
Su-Yun groaned softly as she held her head and stood up on her feet, her mind spinning a thousand miles due to her going head first into the energy wall. "It's...fine. It's not your fault..."
Luciel warped back onto her feet and helped Su-Yun onto her feet by Butterfly Warping her onto her feet, catching her off guard once again. "No harm, no foul!"
Hyeon Bae smiled at the two then gave them a bow, keeping her hands in her pockets. "I'm sorry once again, I'm still trying to control my Stigmata.."
Luciel grew curious by Hyeon Bae's spiritual ability and let out a soft hum, walking behind Hyeon Bae to see the Stigmata upon the back of her neck, a glowing light blue angelic sigil. "It looks like a normal Angel Mark."
"You can tell what it is?" Hyeon Bae asked in awe, turning around to look at Luciel with wonder.
"I could've told you that. It's specifically a Natural Stigmata, The Specter. Basically you have the powers of a Spirit as a human, a Benevolent Spirit. There are many Specters, it's actually recorded that 80% of all E to B-5 Rank Valkyrias have the Specter Stigmata. It's very common," Su-Yun said with high intellect, proof of her seven years of studying.
"'Aaackshually,'" Hyeon Bae mocked, holding one finger up and acting as if she was pushing up her imaginary glasses. "That's what you sound like. We get it, your IQ is incredibly high."
Su-Yun huffed and crossed her arms, scoffing lightly at Hyeon Bae's snarky reply and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well I was just letting you know since you didn't know. Hmph!"
Luciel chuckled softly at the two, seeing they would get along very well despite the clash she was witnessing at the moment. "Alright, I'm guessing we're headed to the same place, so why don't we all go together?"
Su-Yun and Hyeon Bae agreed, the three girls deciding to head toward St. Goken Institution together. Hyeon Bae began telling Luciel about the entire institution and it's every department within as if she had real insider information, explaining the institution included Bulan and Grushia High School, St. Goken Academy, and the St. Goken Valkyrian Institution.
Each level of education was preparing every young man and woman to be ready for the fight against principalities upon the Earth, few knowing of the real dangers beyond Manaport and the ACU. The responsibilities of Luciel and Su-Yun were bound to be grand, but necessary for their current mission.
Reaching a local area nearing the Institution, the three began to hear commotion happening down a secluded street near a playground, a group of delinquents bullying upon one defenseless guy. Nearby, a seemingly regular looking woman began to march up toward the group, a serious expression playing on her face.
"Hey, leave that kid alone. It's just one of him and seven of you, it's not really fair," The woman said sweetly, gently pushing one of the bullies off the defenseless guy without any fear.
The delinquent grunted as he was shoved off with surprising strength, though the woman had hardly used any effort. He walked toward the woman and grabbed her by her cardigan, pulling her off the kid. "Hey, jukgo shipnya? Who are you and who do you think you are?"
The woman grunted in surprise as she only wanted to help a defenseless kid from getting beat up, her hands tightly clutching her purse. "I'm in the wrong here? You all are beating up one kid!"
"And? Why do you care? If you must know, he owes us money. Are you willing to be a good Samaritan and pay for him and take his place?" The delinquent asked tauntingly, snatching the woman's purse and ripping it from her hands.
The woman gasped as they took her purse and began rummaging through her things, grabbing her wallet out of her purse and opening it. She crossed her arms and gave an unamused expression toward the delinquents, unfazed by their reactions to her being poor.
"Mwo? You thought I'd be rich because I was being a good person? I'm broke as dirt here working security for an Institution and a dumb secretary for a totally cute guy who doesn't even like women," The woman sighed, raising an eyebrow at the seven guys in front of her. "Besides, there's only like 3,000 won in there and some Zodia coins.."
The leader grabbed the woman's wallet out of his friend's hand then walked toward her, hitting her atop of her head with the wallet. "Do you think this is funny? Hey, do you want to be beaten to death?"
The woman stood firm with high amounts of patience, licking the inside of her cheek and closed her eyes for a moment to calm her nerves. She opened them back up to meet the leader's gaze once more. "Hey, I don't really like being hit on my head...or people rummaging through my stuff."
"I'm patient right now because you're just dumb kids, but you really shouldn't do that. It's not nice," The woman continued, her voice remaining calm and her eyes remaining locked onto the leader's.
The leader laughed at the woman's threat and warning, looking back at his crew and they began to laugh as well. He feigned a scared reaction, holding his hands up in mock surrender. "Oh, you really scared me. Gosh, you're scary!"
"So...what are you gonna do about it?" The leader asked, lightly smacking the woman's cheek with the back on his hand.
"You punk...how dare you," The woman asked with light frustration, grabbing the leader's hand and bending it backwards with surprising strength.
The leader let out a surprised yell of pain as he began to drop to the ground, reaching up to try to force the woman to release her grip, but her hold was unbreakable. The other delinquents all exclaimed in shock, each of them entering a panicked state.
The woman scoffed at them, reaching down and grabbing the leader by his belt and holding him up with one hand, causing the delinquents to cower and fall back in fear. "Hey, I warned you all to stop, now you must face humiliation."
Luciel covered her mouth in absolute disbelief at the scene and the woman's strength while Su-Yun did her best to keep herself from bursting into laughter, Hyeon Bae standing at the side with her phone out and recording the scene. The entire scene was so bizarre even the locals walked by, as if this was a daily occurrence.
"Hey, my name is Do Song Boon and you'd do great in remembering it. The Earth is already polluted with World Leaders, evil organizations and Daemons, we don't need more of that roaming the streets. Did you learn all those negative things in school, huh?" Song Boon said, looking at the leader with an unamused expression.
"Ms. Do, please spare me!" The leader begged, holding his hands together for mercy. "I'll be a good boy from now on!"
"Oh nah...that's really humiliating," Hyeon Bae muttered to herself, zooming in on the leader's face.
"Honestly...this is the best thing I've seen in a while," Su-Yun said, pinching her lips to stifle her laughter even more.
Song Boon dropped the leader onto the ground and let out a soft sigh. "Hey, you all know the drill. Get on that," Song Boon said, pointing at the merry go round to her right.
"Go on, hurry up. I don't have all day," Song Boon urged, gesturing toward the merry go round once again.
Luciel glanced over at the merry-go-round, gasping as she watched the delinquents comply and each board the round. "She's not doing what I think she's doing right?"
"I think she might be the bully," Su-Yun said in equal awe, letting out a light laugh as she knew what was going to happen.
"This will go viral for sure..." Hyeon Bae said, focusing the frame upon the merry go round.
"Hold on tight because it's going to get dangerous! You're going on a trip of a lifetime to the UK!" Song Boon warned, smirking at the delinquents and took hold of the metal bar before giving it three powerful spins.
The delinquents all yelled as they spun around at high speeds, the merry go round generating winds due to spinning at a high speed. The boy on the ground picked up his glasses, looking up and watching the delinquents go on multiple trips around the UK Round.
Song Boon stood in front of the round with a satisfied smile upon her face, flipping her hair from her eyes and slipped her hands into her jacket pockets. She let them go on for one more round before stopping the merry go round with her foot, causing the bullies to all go flying off the ride.
"Aww, too bad you all lose! You didn't hold on tight enough! Make sure to remember this moment as a learning lesson to treat people how you want to be treated! You could really join the Academy and learn more about Ascea and His teachings, Hm!~" Song Boon beamed, turning around and making her leave with the lone boy on the ground.
Luciel watched the two leave for the institution ahead, her gaze shifting over to the large campus up ahead. "She's security here...St. Goken has to be the safest campus in all of Exzodia."
"It basically is," Hyeon Bae said with a smile, putting her phone away and looked over at Luciel. "That was Ms. Do Song Boon, known as the Power Lady or the Big Heart of St. Goken. Everyone here loves Ms. Do as much as they love Headmistress Kaguya!"
"Wow, she has quite the standing huh? A local legend is what people would call someone like her," Luciel said, smiling at Song Boon as she watched her walk off.
"Local Legend or a Terminator with a no kill rule? Did you see how she handled those boys? They are still recovering, one is throwing u—" Su-Yun began, hacking at the sight of the guy throwing up and quickly ran off before she coughed up a hair ball.
Luciel giggled at Su-Yun and hurried after her with Hyeon Bae, the two of them laughing at the fact that Su-Yun couldn't finish her sentence. Luciel glanced back at the delinquents, sending one of her Warden Butterflies toward them to heal them from their dizziness and lightheadedness.
---------------------------
Luciel and Su-Yun reached the Grushia High School building, where they would be starting their journey as Valkyrian Staff, but they noticed that the high school looked more like a castle than a traditional school. The building stood with tall spires at each corner, each one having a flag of the Aetherian Symbol along with an Ascean Symbol on the other side of the flag.
Leading up to the front doors was a long pearl road with a staircase adorned with white arcs peering over the road, each arc containing a small angelic figure at the peaks. The roads sparkled under the sunlight, each stone within the ground letting out a twinkling glow.
"This is so surreal...I haven't seen such roads like this before," Su-Yun gasped softly, her eyes sparkling as she loved shiny things, her dopamine levels reaching an all time high.
"Really? I thought these were common, maybe it's because I grew up around the Exzodian Kingdom that I'm so used to things like this. Like the roads of my old school had jasper, emerald, and ruby," Luciel said, glancing at the road as well then looked over at Su-Yun.
"Whoa, really? I had a feeling you were upper class, but that much?" Su-Yun asked with high regards and respect for Luciel, glancing over at her with sparkling eyes.
"Jamkkanman," A snooty voice sounded behind the two women, causing them to turn around to face three high schooler girls standing behind them.
Luciel stared at the three, looking at their uniforms and noticed they were all wearing a white button up with a sky blue tie and the traditional school skirt and shoes. The girl in front wore a blazer with the Grushia High insignia imprinted on the front pocket, the girl looking like the Queen Bee type.
"You're kinda standing in our way, we're trying to get to class," The girl in front said, her face feigning a polite expression yet her tone had a hint of sass beneath.
Su-Yun nodded at the girl and stepped back, giving her a quick now. "Sorry, it's our first day...we we're admiring the road..."
"Clearly," The girl said, letting out a soft hum before walking ahead.
Luciel watched as the girls walked past them, using her Divine Discernment to read their nametags before they slipped away then let out a soft scoff. "Ha-Rin, Woo-Yi, and Li-Na. They looked no older than 17-18 years old, so I'm guessing they are upperclassmen."
"And you got all that from a glance?" Su-Yun asked, rubbing the back of her head then looked ahead at the three girls ahead. "There are levels to this spiritual game huh..."
Without missing another beat, Luciel and Su-Yun made their way forward down the pearl road to enter the building. Inside the building was spacious, the walls filled with artwork of the Old World and statues of historical figures, the main hall of the high school filled with socializing students left and right.
A whistle blew in the halls, Do Song Boon rushing down the halls in her security uniform to monitor the halls and get students to class on time. "Annyeong! Get to class everyone!"
"Ms. Do!~" One guy cheered, raising his hand to give her a high five.
"Ahh, good to see you too, Sean. BAM!" Song Boon giggled as she gave Sean a high five then pointed at him. "Now get to class!"
"Ms. Do!" A group of girls giggled as they hurried toward her to greet her.
Luciel and Su-Yun watched Do Song Boon interaction with the students of Grushia High School, seeing how much they liked her first hand and were impressed by her gravitas. Song Boon was truly a legend amongst the halls, the main talk of the school.
The halls slowly began to clear with the students each going to their classes while Luciel and Su-Yun made their way to the main office to get themselves ready for their first day as teachers at Grushia High School. Do Song Boon glanced at the two of them, her eyes falling upon Su-Yun and rose an eyebrow.
"Sa Nu Rim..? Wait..." Song Boon began, her mind going to the news broadcasting she watched this morning then gasped before blowing her whistle loudly at the two women. "Stop right there!"
Su-Yun and Luciel glanced behind themselves at the sound of the whistle, the two of them noticing Dong Soon charging toward them at high speeds and gasped before running down the halls themselves. Dong Soon charged after them at an alarming rate, reaching her hand out to try and grab Su-Yun's tail.
Su-Yun swiped her tail instinctively as soon as Do Song Boon attempted to grab her tail and cried out. "What the heck! What did I even do to deserve this?!"
"Aishh! They are fast, but I got this!" Song Boon said, jumping up in the air and landing on the ground with a powerful stomp.
Song Boon's stomp generated a powerful shockwave, stunning both Luciel and Su-Yun in place for a moment while she rushed ahead to apprehend Su-Yun and Luciel. Once she grew close enough, both Luciel and Su-Yun became light purple silhouettes of energy, the two of them warping behind Song Boon.
"What the—" Song Boon asked in surprise, looking around for Luciel and Su-Yun before turning around to see them standing behind her. "What the heck was that?! I had you two stunned!"
"I recover quickly because of the verse of Olympas 4:13, no weapon formed against me shall prosper! No attack formed against me shall work and no curse used against me shall override my identity in The Nexus, in Ascea!" Luciel declared, getting into her martial arts stance and generated two Warden Butterflies.
Su-Yun noticed no one was coming out to stop the interaction, but the cameras were on so someone was watching over them. She looked ahead at Song Boon, wondering if she was going to continue pursuing or give up but she couldn't brace herself for Do Song Boon's response.
Song Boon thrusted her hand forward in the air, releasing a shockwave of raw air toward Luciel and Su-Yun, blowing both of them away with little effort. "You use verses against me as if I don't know my God as well! You do not stand above the Law and that law is Justice must be served!"
Luciel landed upon the ground gracefully, her white dress fluttering around her feet as she used light wind manipulation to bring herself to safety. "Justice? I'll agree, you served justice earlier against those delinquents with human flaws...but this one? There's no divine justice behind this, only worldly condemnation!"
"Worldly condiments? What does condiments have to do with the law?" Song Boon asked with a scoff, walking forward and tightening her belt around her waist.
"Condemnation! Not condiments! You don't have a lawful reason to try to apprehend us other than a news report saying that I was a Code Rainbow and Sa Nu Rim, a Code White," Luciel replied, pointing her finger at Song Boon.
"Sa Nu Rim is supposed to be dead! She was killed, we all saw it! Killed by Prince Zephyr, I should know because I saw it with my own eyes on the mission!" Song Boon revealed, pointing at Su-Yun with high confusion.
"Wait, you were on my squad back then?" Su-Yun asked, pointing at herself with confusion as if she was learning about it for the first time.
"Yeah, I was. You were the one that gave me my nickname, Power Lady and Strong Woman. Why are you back here? Do you know how much we've lost since you disappeared? Do you know how much danger you've put us in with your betrayal?" Song Boon asked, stomping her foot upon the ground with frustration.
Su-Yun glanced over at Luciel with a silent call for help, not knowing what to say since she had none of Sa Nu Rim's memories. She glanced back over at Song Boon, just gesturing with her hands, her mouth open but no words came out.
Song Boon imitated Su-Yun's motions then sucked her teeth. "Aishh! So I'm guessing you faked your death to kill down the heat...it's something you'd do! I've known you for five years, I think I have a good understanding of how you operate!"
'I am not Sa Nu Rim! Sa Nu Rim is dead, she's just alive spiritually through the Vow of Night and Day!' Su-Yun screamed mentally, lowering her head and just accepting defeat.
"I think that's quite good enough," A familiar voice sounded from the distance, each woman looking at the second floor balcony to see Kaguya leaning against the balcony.
"Aah! Lady Kaguya!" Song Boon greeted, bowing toward Kaguya and closing her eyes with respect.
Kaguya smiled at Song Boon then glanced at Luciel and Su-Yun, giving the two of them a welcoming smile and hummed softly. "I am glad you two could make it today~ We have much work to do so follow me and I'll get you two started."
Luciel and Su-Yun watched as Kaguya walked off then turned back toward Song Boon, who now knew why they were at St. Goken Institution and let out an embarrassed chuckle before hurrying off from pure embarrassment. The two women chuckled softly at her and began making their way to the second floor to get ready for their new jobs.
Meanwhile in Bulan, the Bong Residency was awake and ready for the day with Nam-Sun and Dong-hee getting ready for their day at work at the Family Gym while Do-hari got her children ready for school in the living room. I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for the family, my dove chirping upon my shoulder with assistance as I worked.
Soon, I finished making breakfast, a modest set of dishes such as eggs, bacon, and fluffy pancakes all sitting out on the bar counter for all to enjoy. "Breakfast is ready, everyone grab you something before you go. You can't skip out on a healthy meal."
Dong-hee was the first to appear in front of the counter, grabbing herself a piece of bacon and a pancake with a questioning gaze on her face. "Hmm, thank you I suppose."
"Mhm, and have a good day," I replied with a soft chuckle, wiping off my hands with a towel and rolled my eyes at Dong-hee.
Dong-hee rolled her eyes back and walked off, munching on her bacon and grabbed her keys off the wall before leaving the house with Nam-Sun, who skipped breakfast this morning. The two of them left the house and locked the door behind themselves, the sound of the lock clicking reaching the kitchen.
Do-hari got up from the couch and led her children into the kitchen with a soft smile, looking up from her children at me. "Thank you for cooking this morning...I appreciate you doing this for us."
"It's honestly no issue for me," I said with a warm smile then looked down at Ae-Ri and Minsu, waiting for them to speak up as well. "Good morning, you two. I made breakfast for you all."
"I'm not hungry..." Ae-Ri rejected, looking down at her phone and walking off to the front door. "We're gonna take the bus to school since Samchon Nam-Sun left already."
"The buses are closed today due to all of them being at Grushia for a massive game today, and I don't think you'll be willing to walk five miles to your school at ten years old," I said, leaning forward against the counter and smiled at Ae-Ri.
Ae-Ri paused in her steps then turned around to look at me, noticing my soft smile and grew slightly annoyed. "Then I'll just miss school for today."
Do-hari watched as Ae-Ri retreated back upstairs with Minsu following suit then sighed heavily, lowering her head and rubbing her forehead. "Ugh...I was really hoping they would come around.."
"It's only their second day meeting me, so I don't expect them to just suddenly be on board with me. I'd be more worried if they just suddenly liked me than if they hated me right now. Give them some time," I said, washing up the dishes in the sink and hummed lightly.
"And if you really want then to come around, how about you ask my Father to soften their hearts? Ask and you shall receive, seek and the door will be opened for you," I continued, looking up at Do-hari with a warm smile.
Do-hari listened to my words, the way I spoke reminding her a lot of about the word flow from The Chronicles. She couldn't help but to smile at the similarities between me and The Word, understanding more why she only saw me in color while everyone else was seen on a grayscale.
"I'm gonna have to get used to you talking in metaphors and phrases huh?" Do-hari asked, leaning against the counter with a smile.
I shrugged my shoulders with a light chuckle and turned off the water, drying my hands and letting out a soft exhale. "You can choose to follow me if you'd like and listen to the words I speak from my Father. I do know this, before they grow up into adults, I will have your curse broken."
"I'll take that as a yes," Do-hari chuckled, rolling her eyes and walking over to the couch to sit down.
I chuckled back at her then felt my phone buzzing in my pocket, taking it out of my pocket and seeing a message from Luciel telling me that she had become a teacher in Grushia while on her walk to bring Aetherians to Yochanan. The two of us knew we were still playing the game of Long-Suffering, but we stood firm and tall with Yuvah.
