In the depths of the cave, a deafening explosion reverberates through the rocky passages, its thunderous roar echoing off the walls with a force that shakes the very earth. Rocks and debris are sent hurtling through the air, scattering in all directions as the shockwave reverberates outward, reaching the cave's entrance with a powerful force.
Outside the cave, the explosion is heard as a distant rumble, followed by a sharp crack that cuts through the stillness of the surrounding landscape. Birds take flight from nearby trees, startled by the sudden disturbance, while small animals scurry for cover in the underbrush. As the echoes of the explosion fade into the distance, a cloud of dust and smoke billows from the cave's entrance, carried on the wind as a silent testament to the power of the blast. In the aftermath, the once-quiet cavern is left shaken and unsettled, its depths now echoing with the remnants of the explosion's force.
Russell Rockafella, who was searching for his family members outside the cave, noticed that it was acting weirdly with smoke coming out of it, and he also experienced a huge earth-shaking rumble. "What on earth happened here?" Russell is taking a look at the entrance of the cave with worried eyes. He had heard that his son Unicus, their maid Mellona, and Unicus's friend Marcus all three were spotted around this cave around 3 days ago. But suddenly, the explosion which rocked the cave triggered a cascade of debris that sealed the entrance shut. With a resounding thud, the massive stone slab descends, cutting off access to the outside world.
Dust fills the air as people who are inside the cave find themselves trapped in the dimly lit depths, their escape now blocked by the barrier of fallen rocks. He reacts in time to not get stuck in the falling debris, and hopes to find another way into the cave. "I hope there is another way to get inside" Russell has a face full of tiredness because he was searching for them for days. It wasn't easy, but Russell believes that finally, he had found a clue.
Few minutes ago, in the cave's depths, a battle rages on between a small group of people and a huge spider. Mellona is running to the spider and with her sword, she makes the first move. She tried to strike the spider's exoskeleton but she was sent backwards. But mellona doesn't give up, this time she puts her sword in its board and runs towards the spider and she removes her sword out of its board. This time she wasn't sent hurtling backwards, so she used this opportunity to strike a few strikes of her own. But the spider was intelligent. The moment it detected mellona near it, its ominous eyes started to glow, like it's casting a spell or something. Suddenly the spider sent a violet coloured acid towards mellona. But even after Mellona stepped a few feet backwards, the spider still tried to attack her with its spider silk. The silk trapped Mellona in one place, but Marcus used her fire magic to release Mellona from the spider's captivity. Before the spider could target Marcus, Mellona distracted it but used herself. So the battle rages on.
"Umm, does anyone have any bright ideas!!" asked Mellona with a face twisted in agony. They had been fighting this beast for hours, but it didn't take much damage, leaving even Mellona, a seasoned adventurer, at a disadvantage against it. Mellona, with a sadistic expression on her face, has been enjoying the fight so far. She wears an orange maid outfit with a white apron, her attire smudged with dust and streaks of spider silk from the ongoing battle. It got accumulated as she tried to kill the spider and it defends itself whenever she tries to deliver a fatal blow. For some reason, she is sent hurtling backwards. It annoys her, but there is nothing she can do about it.
The room is getting pretty smelly as well because during the fight Mellona accidentally attacked a hidden river stream which had been carrying water. Her attack basically redirected the water to this part of the cave. The room is getting filled with water, slowly and surely, Mellona's ability to move is getting affected by it. "I don't have any bright ideas with me!!" Marcus cried out. She and Unicus had been hiding in a safe spot the whole time. "Well, I wouldn't say that, I have a decent idea" Unicus said which grabbed both girls' attention. "What is it? Tell me. I can't handle any more of this" said Mellona. At this point, even she got tired of the battle and wishes to end it quickly. Both girls shook him violently, which only made Unicus throw up. After he was done with it, Marcus threw his hands over his shoulder and asked, "Just tell us quickly, our livelihood depends on this, I'll even give you my favorite sandwich as a token of appreciation ok".
Since Unicus was still thinking, Mellona threw a comment of her own as well. "Come Unicus just spit it out, do you know how hard it is to battle that humongous spider over there. If your idea succeeds, I'll do anything you want ok!!" Mellona's desperation and embarrassment are evident in her voice. But the reason why Unicus didn't tell them had nothing to do with making this a bargain for himself. No no, it's, in fact, the execution of the plan, but he decides to tell them. "Mellona, I want you to use your most powerful lightning magic on the water" he shouted, his worries evident in his eyes. The air, which was filled with the scent of mud, is just the thing which can be affected by electricity, not to mention the water around them.
Now with a sadistic smile on her face, Mellona released her magic. The spell chant has been too long for this one but it ended with her usual spell lines "By thunder's roar and sky's bright light, Unleash the storm with bolts so bright! Voltaris Ignis!" she shouted loudly. While she was casting the spell, her eyes took an electric blue glow. The magic spell produced crackling lighting which cast a bluish glow on the whole place so bright that it was hard to see for a moment. She discharged my deadly attack from my fingers, it traced the path I desired and instantly killed the monster by burning it inside out.
The moment water and electricity collided, that's the actual fun part, some water became steam, some conducted electricity, but some produced hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis. "Now Marcus, it's your turn to use your fire magic" Unicus said to Marcus, who stood near him. The spider doesn't understand what is going on but it showed its resistance, but Mellona quickly drew its attention to herself and kept it distracted the whole time. As soon as he said that he started chanting a longer version of his spell which ended like the normal one, "From shadows deep, with whispered plea, A flickering flame, to burn the sea." while Marcus was chanting the spell her eyes took a scarlet red glow.
The resulting flame was unlike anything he saw Marcus produce, the fire reacted with the environment, which is now filled with ample amounts of oxygen and hydrogen. It resulted in a big explosion, luckily all three escaped the explosion by using one of the underground passages which was closed and have gone unnoticed till now. The Spider, now in human form, is around 13 years old, lying on the ground amidst the chaos of the cave's explosion. Her short black hair is covered in dirt and water which is partially burnt by the explosion. Her smooth, silky black dress is soaked in blood, the crimson stains contrasting starkly against the darkness of her attire. Blood drips from various wounds all over her body, pooling beneath her in a macabre tableau.
With each labored breath, she spits out blood, her face twisted in pain and anguish. Her one remaining leg is a brutal reminder of the explosion's devastation, the other part incinerated by the blast. Despite the agony etched on her features, her determination is getting lower and lower as indicated by the glimmers in her eyes, accepting to die in the face of such harrowing circumstances. Thespider in her last moments of death remembers the old days where she used to live with her friends and loved ones. In the simple kitchen of the spider's house, rough-hewn wooden beams and worn stone walls exude rustic charm. A large hearth dominates one side, its crackling flames providing warmth and light. A sturdy wooden table, surrounded by stools, serves as the centerpiece, while shelves display earthenware pots and bundles of herbs. Utensils hang from a hand-crafted cabinet, and a stone sink stands in one corner, offering a place for washing dishes. Despite its humble appearance, the kitchen is the heart of the home, where meals are prepared, stories are shared, and memories are made.
"Hey mom, what's for dinner tonight?" she asked with anticipation for the dinner. "I'm making sandwiches for dinner sweetie. If you behave as a good girl, I'll give you one extra than usual" her mom had a kind look on her face with which she asked her daughter to wait some more to have dinner. "Ok I'll go and play with daddy until then" she said and took off from the kitchen. Her mother chuckled as she thought about how happy her daughter will be when she eats dinner. Next, she went to her dad and had him play with her. In the dappled sunlight of the forest, they both chase each other through the trees, their laughter echoing amidst the rustling leaves. With each playful step, they navigate the uneven terrain, ducking and weaving between towering trunks and sprawling roots. As they race through the verdant canopy, a bond of joy and love intertwines them, weaving a tapestry of cherished memories amidst the natural beauty of the woodland realm. they both were playing tag with each other the day just seems to go on with peace and quiet.
As the father and daughter return home, their playful laughter turns to horrified silence at the sight of their mother's lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. The father's cry of anguish fills the air as he rushes to her side, while the daughter stands frozen in shock, tears streaming down her face. The once-peaceful home is now a scene of chaos and devastation, the walls echoing with the tragedy that has unfolded. In the wake of this senseless violence, the father and daughter cling to each other for support, their world shattered by the loss of their beloved mother and wife. The sight just made her father angry and he asked his daughter to leave the surrounding vicinity without the humans noticing her and he transformed into a spider himself and unleashed his full power and fury on the intruders.
But the hero of humans and his friends took care of him before he could exact vengeance for his now dead wife. The young spider watched all this from far away and with a heavy heart, as her father asked her to. She ran away from the place and hid in this cave for centuries. Now it's her turn to die after 70 long agonizing years, she can finally be reunited with her family. But ever since the spider was a little girl, it's been a dream to get married and experience happiness for herself.
A husband who will fill in the void left behind by her parents. She said "Mother, Father, please forgive me. I failed you!! I can't believe I'm dying without getting married" with partially opened eyes her whole body screaming from pain, it was like her soul itself was burning with pain and finally after spitting some blood from her mouth her breathing became uneven as she struggled to breathe. Meanwhile, Unicus and the gang are walking through the basement of the spider's chamber, "Hey Unicus, what happened?" asked Marcus with a worried face, she was worried that Unicus is acting weirdly. "Well while we escaped, I saw a girl, she was severely injured as well" he expressed his concern but both girls look confused now.
"What are you talking about? I took a look at all the places in the chamber while I was fighting the spider and I didn't notice any girl at all" Mellona said with a confident expression and Marcus backed her up as well. But Unicus did buy it "I'll take a look again" he said and ran off the direction where they came from. "Marcus, let's leave him alone, I think we should move forward and make sure there aren't any monsters waiting to ambush us" said Mellona with a determined face and both girls moved in the opposite direction from Unicus. When Unicus came back to the surface of the chamber, like he expected, he saw a girl trying her hardest to live, but for some reason she reminded him of the spider from before. But the truth is it was the spider itself, in its human form. She is around 13 years old, lying on the ground amidst the chaos of the cave's explosion.
With each labored breath, she spits out blood, her face twisted in pain and anguish. with only one leg, just the sight made Unicus's heart sink in sadness. He went near her and lifted her head and placed it gently in his lap and woke her up. "Hey what happened to you?" he asked worriedly but she couldn't answer his questions, with her uneven breathing.
The spider in human form kept staring at him with shaky and puppy dog eyes, which made his heart ache even more. But the spider in her final moments can't even show her anger to the person who did this to her. But instead she gave up on vengeance and accepted her death. Then with determination she lifted herself with effort even amidst all the pain surging through her body and kissed him. In a moment, she leaned up, their lips meeting tentatively. As they kiss for the first time, a rush of emotion overwhelms them, igniting a spark of passion that lingers long after their lips part.
Unicus was confused to have his first kiss stolen from him just like that, but then the girl said something which shook him to the core, "I love you darling" with tears running down her eyes, she don't care if she love him or not, because the final moment itself is a blessing for her. Then she chuckled for a moment only to continue with "I always wanted to say that to someone" but fate wasn't easy on her. As her last wish was fulfilled, the spider breathed its last breath and died in Unicus's lap. Meanwhile, Unicus was experiencing a surge of emotions, he wanted to help the girl, but It was too late.
In the aftermath of the cave's explosion, he tenderly lays the girl's lifeless body in a chamber amidst the debris. With solemn determination, he prepares a makeshift grave, whispering a heartfelt farewell as he lays her to rest in the rocky earth. In the dim light of flickering from the stone in his hand, he honors her memory amidst the chaos of devastation, her final resting place a testament to the bond they shared. He prayed that she would rest in peace, before joining Mellona and Marcus.
