The deep violet blue tribulation cloud, so dark it seemed almost black, stretched over a million miles. Even the starlight within the Zhou Tian Star Map was concealed beneath its oppressive glow.

The tribulation cloud advanced inexorably, leaving the demon emperor with a single thought: escape.

Still, escape was no simple task. The tribulation cloud covered everything, and the Zhou Tian Star Map made retreat nearly impossible.
For the demon emperor, there was only one option left self destruction.

He could afford to destroy one of them to survive, but if he had to detonate the second, his life would be forfeit.

"Can I even escape this accursed star domain?"

With demonic energy surging around him, the Devouring Demon Emperor charged directly into the tribulation cloud.
The calamities tore at his defenses, and his body sustained heavy damage. Still, he pushed forward, aiming to close the distance to Xiao Ze.
"Is he going for a last ditch explosion?" Xiao Ze muttered, his brows furrowing.
The Heavenly Emperor, standing nearby, nodded solemnly.
"Be careful. He's preparing to self destruct. If he gets close, the consequences will be catastrophic."
Xiao Ze nodded, waving his sleeve. The sprawling tribulation cloud condensed, its violet blue energy converging to form a thick barrier.
"If you've entered my tribulation cloud, don't think you'll escape its wrath," Xiao Ze said coldly.
As the tribulation cloud tightened, the demon emperor's path became impassable. His progress slowed, and the demonic energy shielding him burned away more rapidly.
Seeing the barrier closing in, the demon emperor's fury flared.
"Damn it!" he roared. "Not even a chance to reach him?! I'll make you pay regardless!"
A Heartbreak
The Devouring Demon Emperor's remaining two hearts the cores of his power began to tremble violently.
One of them cracked.
The resulting explosion was catastrophic. Demonic energy surged outward, ripping through the tribulation cloud and colliding with its endless calamities.
Xiao Ze reacted immediately, summoning the power of the Zhou Tian Star Map.
A radiant star shield, spanning millions of miles, enveloped the battlefield. The explosion of the demon emperor's heart clashed against this barrier, while the tribulation cloud devoured the demonic energy in a storm of destruction.
From outside the star shield, only flashes of violet blue and pitch black energy could be seen. The chaos gradually faded, leaving a void of silence.
The Heavenly Emperor's voice broke through the quiet.
"Xiao Ze, don't let your guard down. He still has one heart left!"
"I know, Senior," Xiao Ze replied.
Within the dissipating energy, a small yet intensely sinister wisp of demonic energy emerged, breaking through the star shield and fleeing at incredible speed.
It was the demon emperor's final attempt to escape.
No Escape
Though his speed was extraordinary, the Devouring Demon Emperor had underestimated the Zhou Tian Star Map.
Xiao Ze's fingers shifted, activating a formation within the star domain.
"Heavenly Shift of Stars."
In an instant, the fleeing wisp was teleported back to Xiao Ze's palm, as if plucked from the void.
Xiao Ze clenched his hand, summoning a golden flame imbued with chaotic energy. The flame formed a cage, trapping the demonic energy within.
"Senior," Xiao Ze said, turning to the Heavenly Emperor.
"You've battled the Devouring Demon Emperor for millennia. It's only fitting that you be the one to end this."
The Heavenly Emperor's gaze lingered on the writhing, malevolent energy for a long moment.
Finally, he nodded, taking the golden flame from Xiao Ze's hands.
"This battle ends today," he said, his voice heavy with emotion.
As the Heavenly Emperor held the flame, he couldn't help but marvel at Xiao Ze's capabilities.
"This young man... two ultimate divine arts, this extraordinary celestial fire... Truly, his potential is limitless."
