T/N - I edited this one while traveling so even if you find it to be a little repetitive, please bear with it and because of that, I've kept this chapter's word count to be high. It's more of an info-dump so there's that but I'm sure that the story has been progressing quicker in the past few chapters.
T/N 2 - By sheer coincidence, I'm traveling today too. This chapter was edited about 100-105 days ago as that was when it was published on Patreon. It's a big deal for me because I don't generally go out if it's either not a birthday/wedding celebration or an exam. Nowadays I feel like I'm opening up more and 'living life'. In part, that's thanks to you guys as well. So thanks a lot.
Anyways, I should stop my yapping now...
…
At this moment, a group of beautiful Angels descended from the sky. They were led by the Fourteen-Winged Angels - Lysandra, Caelith and Stella. In addition, Sylvana was among them as well.
"Lord Almighty!"
"Your Majesty!"
The women bowed toward Haru and he responded with a smile. Up until now, there were sixty-seven Goddesses in the Aetherium Kingdom and their numbers were as follows:
High Goddesses x2
Intermediate Goddesses x11
Lower True Goddesses x54
Killing Tigranov had been extremely beneficial to all of the participating Lower True Goddesses as they had gained tremendous benefits. This was especially true for Lysandra, Sylvana, Mary and Caelith. Like Haru, the four of them have advanced to the Intermediate God Tier.
As for Seraphina, Eveline, Aureole, Auriel and the other participants, many of them have advanced to the peak of the Lower True God Tier, while the rest reached the late-stage Lower True God Tier as well.
"Congratulations!" Haru smiled.
Lysandra, Sylvana, and the others also smiled brightly. Once they became Intermediate Goddesses, they were no longer considered 'weak' among Gods.
"You should go to the battlefield as well!" After a pause, he continued, "However, don't participate in the war and hide in the void. If the Gods of the enemy camp descend and attack the Royal Army, then kill them!"
The Gods generally don't interfere in the wars between mortals, hence Demigods were the strongest combatants in mortal wars. However, it was hard to guarantee that those Beast Gods would uphold this unspoken rule. Thus he sent all the Goddesses of his kingdom to protect his army and see if they could hunt one or two ignorant Beast Gods off-guard.
Haru turned his gaze to Stella, who was shining with dazzling golden light and said, "Stella, go with them!"
Haru could only rest assured of the Goddesses' safety with a High Goddess watching over them.
"Yes, Lord Almighty!" Stella bowed respectfully.
Standing beside her was the Zodiac God Angel: Aries, Astraea, who had also been promoted to the Lower True God Tier. Although she was countless times weaker compared to Stella, she had grown up step by step from the Holy Spirit stage very quickly.
A moment later, all the Goddesses left Angel City. Some went to the Endless Prairies, some of them went to the Andes Highlands. In total, almost 70 Goddesses were keeping watch over these two regions' battlefields. They alone were enough to easily sweep through all the dynasties' forces and conquer these two regions.
However, Haru did not allow them to set foot on the battlefield. After all, they were all Goddesses. Even if they killed Demigods, they would not get much experience so it's far better for the other mortal troops from his army to gain exp from these wars to nurture more Demigods and Gods.
…
After they left, as Haru felt that he had nothing else to do, he opened the [Hyperspace Trading Channel] to see if there was anything worth buying. After a stroll, Haru bought a few special architectural blueprints and built them in his capital. As for other blueprints, equipment and other items that he had stored in the trading area, they were also bought one after another.
Up until now, the number of resources he had in his warehouse had reached 13 billion units. There were about six billion units of Wood, four billion units of Stone, and three billion units of Refined Iron. Haru believed that after he destroyed all the Castle Lords and dynasties in the Endless Prairies and the Andes Highlands, he would have enough resources to upgrade his Advanced Capital City to an Imperial Capital.
Then, Haru scrolled through the [World Chat Channel] to read about some current events. Soon, he realized that the entire world had already found out about him killing Tigranov. Yes, the whole world. Haru even suspected that the Beast Gods of Faith had already learned about this as well.
"This GM really screwed me over!" He had originally planned to catch Kaelix and Zarek off-guard but now it seems that this plan would be difficult to achieve because they would definitely become extremely cautious.
He was even worried that those two Ancient Evil Gods might even choose to withdraw from this war, which would directly lead to the failure of his plan to establish his Divine Kingdom.
"Sigh! There's nothing I can do about it. After all, Tigranov was a High God. Getting those reputation points for killing him was an unavoidable outcome."
Right now, as the Aetherium Kingdom's strength had skyrocketed, his confidence had also swelled. He was no longer worried about facing Kaelix and Zarek. On the contrary, he was worried that they would slip away.
"Hahaha! Those idiots from the Prairie Heaven alliance chose to stay. It seems that those two High Gods didn't want to run." Haru let out a sigh of relief.
…
A few minutes later:
As Haru was browsing the World Chat Channel, his beautiful butler Celworld returned from the underground world and Haru noticed that there was a hint of smile on her face.
Haru asked, "Have you investigated the origins of that Divine Token?"
"Yes, my Lord!" Celestia said respectfully, "The Goddess of Fate told me that the Divine Token came from an era even older than the Ancient Era. It is the proof of entry to the Throneveil Shrine!"
"The Throneveil Shrine?" Haru was puzzled. "What is that?"
Celestia shook her head and said, "The Goddess of Fate only said that the Throneveil Shrine was built by the nine ancient Gods. It is the most prestigious temple in all of the Endless Continent!"
"Also, the Goddess of Fate said…" Celestia raised her eyes to Haru, "The God King's Throne is inside the Throneveil Shrine!"
Haru had not expected that the Endless Continent would have such a thing but this posed a problem. If those top-level Castle Lords wanted to fight for the God King's Throne, they would need a Divine Token to enter the Throneveil Shrine.
Of course, they could also look forward to the God King's Throne flying out of the Throneveil Shrine. After all, it possessed spirituality and might fly out of the Throneveil Shrine to take a stroll but that was just a possibility.
"An era even older than the Ancient Era… What era could that be?" Haru was puzzled. He had originally thought that the Endless Continent's history ended in the Ancient Era where the world was ruled by countless Gods of Faith until the God King's Throne appeared and the Dimensional Demons invaded the Endless Continent, leading to the war that ended in expulsion of the Gods of Faith, officially ending the Ancient Era.
After that was the [Dark Ages] where the countless races on the Endless Continent and the Dimensional Demons were fighting against each other. Countless lives had been lost in this era and the thousands of races were almost wiped out by the Demons.
It was also in this era where all the races gave up their faith and began to walk the path of 'Truth'. In the end, the Dimensional Demons were expelled by all the races, thus starting the Era of Truth, which was even more glorious than the Ancient Era of Faith.
In the Age of Truth, every race was flourishing. Regardless of whether they were the Gods of Truth or the mortals, they were even more prosperous than in the Ancient Era. This was one of the reasons why all beings from the tens of thousands of races were unwilling to return to the path of faith.
Their hatred towards the Gods of Faith was secondary while the main reason was their increase in strength. Even the weak races like the Goblins and Gnomes also shouted their rejection of faith, claiming that 'truth' was the only path to immortality.
Even they were unwilling to believe in the Gods of Faith, not to mention other powerful races. It could be said that the current Endless Continent truly did not have the space for Gods of Faith. The only reason why Haru could convert the natives into his believers was because of his Angels who specialized in spreading faith.
"Before the ancient era, it should have been the Primordial Era!" Celestia said, "I asked the Goddess of Fate and learned that at that time, the Endless Continent and many other planar worlds were ruled by the Ancient Gods. They were the ones who built the Throneveil Shrine!"
"They even created the pure-blooded Thunder Titan Race! In addition, many of the current races of the Endless Continent were created by the Ancient Gods of the Throneveil Shrine. They have ruled this world for hundreds of millions of years!"
"It's just that I don't know what caused the Ancient Gods of the Throneveil Shrine to disappear one after another. It was only when the Gods of Faith appeared and ruled the Endless Continent that those Ancient Gods were gradually forgotten."
Celestia's expression was a little serious because she felt that those Ancient Gods should be extremely powerful. Although they couldn't compare to their Lord Almighty, it should be difficult for anyone else to match them.
'If those Ancient Gods didn't fall, they would only temporarily stay away, or perhaps sleep in the Throneveil Shrine. Once they returned and revived, the threat to the Lord would be great.' She was thinking about whether she should destroy the Throneveil Shrine once she recovered to her peak state and became a Half-Step God Queen to put an end to the threat that the Ancient Gods posed to the Lord?
However, Haru did not think too much. He was just very surprised. He hadn't expected that there would be another Primordial Era before the Ancient Era of Faith, "From this perspective, the history of the Endless Continent can be divided into four eras. The Primordial Era, the Ancient Era, the Dark Ages and the current Era of Truth."
Hearing Haru's words, Celestia nodded in agreement, "Our Lord is wise!"
Haru's lips twitched. If he didn't know that Celestia was his strongest believer, he would've been sure that she was being sarcastic. He had only done a simple summary, how could it be considered wise? However, he was already used to it as the Angels were his loyal believers and they treated his every word like a divine oracle.
