Third person POV
"Then I won't go there," William boldly and briefly replied.
Raqua was stunned and shocked at his suicide-inducing choice, so she looked at him. "You're not?"
William nodded. "Yes."
"Are you crazy?" she then pointed her sword at his neck once more in hostility. "I'm trying to help you, human, but you just decided to stay here and die. Do you want me to kill you instead?"
"Woah! What's with that?"
"You're insane, so you will die in my hands."
This lasted for a few moments until, Raqua decided to abort that and sheathed her sword in its scabbard. "If that's what you wanted, then I have no say on that."
William was surprised. "What? No say on my choice?"
"Yes, and in fact…" she replied back, "I was wondering about another civilization where humans and lancanthrope would live and coexist peacefully. I would like to see that, as well as a civilization where everyone has a free will to do good without being under someone's agenda."
She then sat down on a fallen log, so as William.
"Is that so?" William asked.
She nodded. "By the way, your clothes looked weird."
To that, William looked at his clothes, which were the same as the ones he wore back in his previous moments before he died. "Oh! Sorry about that. Do I look weird?"
"No, at least in my view."
"I see. Well, here's my little story about these clothes."
He then told her about his previous life as an office worker in the Philippines and his death under a truck, or what he calls, Truck-kun.
A minute later, Raqua was shocked at his summarized story. "Wow, I never knew someone who was reincarnated into this world. It must have been hard to leave behind everything you cherished and loved so much."
"Yeah," William replied back while looking down because he missed the treasures of his previous life, "but I had to accept it as fate and try my best to adjust in this apocalyptic world."
"How did you know that this one is apocalyptic?"
"I watched the anime version of it," William replied back.
"Woah, there is? In your previous life?"
William nodded.
"Okay then."
And then, a few moments later, William got an idea: what if he could establish his own civilization based on Raqua's wishes as another safe haven for humans? So, he verbalized that idea to her, intending to help her with that. Raqua was surprised to hear that and looked at him. "What? You will do that, for me?"
"Yeah, I had some experience of making cities in games back in my previous life, so I know things like the economy and systems."
Because of that, Raqua accepted it with great enthusiasm and hopes of seeing that plan coming to life. "Yes! Let's do this, together."
William then smiled. "By the way, my name is William Quezon. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, William-kun, my name is Raqua Tana," she replied while holding his right hand and shaking it vigorously a few times, before releasing it. "I am a lancanthrope and an assassin."
"I knew it."
"What? How did you know that I am an assassin?"
"I watched the anime back in my previous life, remember?"
"Oh, right, right."
And so, William had tamed her, a lancanthrope, without much effort.
