December 25, 2004, is my first Christmas and first anniversary without Ozias. I'm proud of myself for leaving him but I still miss our good days. I stopped letting him run over me and he found someone new. It hurt me but I knew it was for the best.
I now respect myself more than anyone else. I should've listened to ma all those years ago. Ma has been by my side since I left. When I left Ozias, I got a better job and a new apartment. He didn't allow me social media so I got it back and started expanding my circle. Ozias wouldn't let me go to the coffee shop I met him in because he thought I'd meet someone else. The first thing I did was go back to that coffee shop because yes I have memories with him there, but that coffee shop was a big part of my childhood.
On my way to work, which I'm now an accountant, I run into this man. I mean like literally run into him. I fell to the ground and into a puddle. I was wearing a white button-down shirt and a black skirt that was slightly under my butt. The man looked at me, helped me up, and immediately started apologizing. I was on the way to work so I could no longer attend because I was soaked in mud.
I looked at the man, enraged at first, and then my whole mood changed when I saw him. He had black coily hair, brown eyes, and caramel skin. He was wearing a see-through white shirt so I could see his abs now that it was wet from the splash. The concern in his eyes calms me. He asked me if he could buy my new clothes and shoes and told him I was fine. He looked at me with an unbelieving look and said "Not by the look you just gave me, you're not." He laughs and introduces himself, holding out his hand "I'm Kai, And you are?'
