Xiao Ruo had already instructed Xiangxiang and Fu Wu to split the bamboo and connect them, directly leading to the nearest piece of land.
Before the waterwheel was positioned where Yuan Xiao had prepared, the villagers curiously gathered around, looking here and there, exclaiming in amazement.
Yuan Xiao and Yuan Bao were the most familiar with using the waterwheel. Once it was placed in the right position, Yuan Bao stepped on it in front of the villagers.
"Wow, the water is being lifted!" the villagers exclaimed in shock.
Watching the water being lifted by the waterwheel and then falling onto the bamboo, flowing along it, the villagers marveled, "It's incredible!"
"Look, the water is flowing onto the bamboo!"
"Come on, let's go see the field!" the villagers shouted in amazement.
The children laughed and shouted, many of them running alongside the flowing water, all the way to the field closest to the big river.
