The morning sun illuminated the mocking smile on Doctor Gao's lips. To hear the word "protection" from Xue Se, who would stop at nothing to solve a case, caring little for his own life and death, was amusing.
Now that two groups of officers were missing, yet Doctor Gao returned home unscathed, Xue Se naturally wouldn't let it rest.
"I also have some matters to report to you," Doctor Gao said as he hung up the phone, reminding his family to remember what he had said. He walked to the window and glanced outside, seeing no police cars, only two black sedans parked at the entrance of the community.
"Hurry up and treat Old Ma," Doctor Gao fed Old Ma some pills as footsteps echoed in the hallway.
Before the community security started their shift, Xue Se had already brought people in, and flanking Doctor Gao, they took him to the car.
"Drive!"
