Guaiguai could sense that he didn't want to talk.
She didn't push him, "Okay, read a book to me."
"What book do you want to hear?" Yasa took out his phone.
"Anything is fine, find a novel and read it to me."
"Alright."
Yasa found a short story on his phone, thinking it was just an ordinary folktale, but it turned out to be a ghost story.
When it got to the scary part, Yasa didn't want to continue, fearing it would frighten Guaiguai.
"Let's change it; this one isn't very good."
Even though Guaiguai was scared, she was captivated, "No, I want to hear this one."
Yasa chuckled, "Aren't you afraid?"
Guaiguai suddenly pulled his hand over and held it tightly.
She smiled at him with innocence, "That way, I'm not afraid."
Yasa was slightly taken aback, his heart suddenly felt very soft. This little girl really made him want to protect her deeply.
Yasa continued with the ghost story, and it was truly terrifying.
He didn't feel a thing, but Guaiguai was really scared inside.
