I didn't know why Christian suddenly had that outburst, but I pushed the thought aside as I stood up and scanned the camp.

Around us were familiar faces—some from my class, others from different classes—each of them bearing the same look of exhaustion carved into their expressions. Dirt-streaked clothes, tired eyes, slumped shoulders. The past few days had wrung everyone dry.

My gaze landed on Ezekiel, who was leaning against a tree like this was all mildly entertaining. I gestured sharply at him, and he sighed before walking over.

"Say something to the group," I muttered under my breath.

He frowned. "Like what?"

"Anything," I said, impatience creeping into my voice. "It's the last day already."

"No. Why the hell would I say something—"

I didn't let him finish.

"Everyone, listen up!" I called out loudly. 

The camp gradually quieted. Conversations died mid-sentence, spoons paused halfway to mouths, and dozens of eyes turned toward us.
