"Wouldn't you like to know," Cassarae said with a sneer after a moment of being stun-locked.
Sylas looked at her for a long time in silence. It was hard to imagine how someone who had another so firmly gripping their collar could somehow also seem so intimidating at the same time, but Cassarae was all too used to Sylas by now. And she had not the slightest fear of him, especially not when this coldness wasn't even directed at her in the first place.
Even so, whether it was Old Brama or any of the others, they found themselves holding their breaths. The only few that seemed to be going about their business as normal were Cassarae, Isolde, and Elara—the last of whom was looking around for some popcorn she could eat to enjoy the show better.
Cassarae's hand moved and she held up a middle finger right between Sylas' brows, still holding onto his collar with the other. She seemed to derive more satisfaction from leaving him in the dark than anything else.
