Sylas felt that something was off. Legacy was an organization, but this key, or whatever it was, was clearly referring to an overarching concept.
This didn't sound like it was that big of a deal. So what? Maybe Legacy just named themselves after the concept.
But this was the wrong way of viewing things.
Will was a complex thing, and by the time you started dealing with the building of bloodlines, and Sects, and Guilds, and Clans, you weren't just building what Will you projected to the world on your own anymore.
At some point, it was just as important how the world viewed you as you viewed yourself.
Sylas never cared about these things, believing he could shrug off these matters as he pleased, but that didn't change how the world itself worked.
That was to say that even if Legacy originally named themselves after this unique concept, it was only a matter of time before the Will they built themselves on began to morph and change.
