Chapter 449 - 449: The Blood And The Death Domains

"Pfft~ The strongest wizard of the modern era? Yeah, right!" Rhys laughed out loud.

The strongest wizard of the modern era? Fine, let's set aside myself, Rowena, and Helga from the category of "modern wizards." But before claiming that title, did you ask Dumbledore?

"If you say that, has Dumbledore agreed?" Rhys couldn't help asking.

Voldemort's expression immediately darkened. After a few seconds, he replied indifferently, "Dumbledore's flame of life is like a candle in the wind. One day, I will go to Hogwarts to see him and grant him a new life."

When he first heard Dumbledore's name, a trace of apprehension had surfaced in Voldemort's heart, but he quickly recovered. He was no longer who he used to be.

With the power of death, killing Dumbledore was now only a matter of meeting him face to face. He could even make Dumbledore's corpse serve him after death. What was there to fear? Dumbledore was nothing more than withered bones in a grave.

"Alright then, so no one in the secret society is stronger than you either?" Rhys asked casually.

Voldemort stiffened.

At the mention of the secret society, he couldn't help but think of that man—Polaris. Even someone as arrogant as him found it hard to claim he could easily deal with Polaris.

Voldemort knew very well that he was likely no match for Polaris. There was a strange suppressive force around him that could nullify the new power he had gained, leaving him with only his spellcasting ability. But the power of spells was far inferior to the divine domains of the secret society.

Seeing Voldemort's reaction, Rhys immediately gleaned quite a bit of information.

First, Voldemort had indeed been revived by the secret society, and the new power he possessed was derived from their divine relics. Second, there were truly powerful figures within the secret society—ones whose strength completely surpassed Voldemort's.

Thanks for the information, Tom Riddle.

"Enough nonsense. Let me grant you a new life!" The shadows beneath Voldemort surged like waves, rushing toward Rhys.

Rhys spread his hands outward. On the canopy, both the secret society's members and the corpses summoned by Voldemort froze for a moment. The reanimated corpses fared slightly better, as the power of Voldemort's domain within them resisted Rhys's influence. The secret society members, however, were not so fortunate. In a brief instant of distraction, the blood within their bodies was completely drained by Rhys.

Aurors: !!!

The disturbance caused by Rhys was so great that even the Aurors were startled.

"Who is that? Is he reinforcement from the Ministry? Or someone from Bulgaria?"

"No idea, I've never seen him before. Also… do you feel really hot?"

Even though Rhys deliberately avoided targeting the Ministry's Aurors, his domain still had a significant effect on them. The blood in everyone's body began to circulate rapidly, causing their faces to flush red as large beads of sweat uncontrollably poured from their foreheads.

"Get away from those two!" The Aurors no longer bothered entangling themselves with Voldemort's subordinates and immediately retreated.

However, the puppets, which had no bodily fluids, were unaffected and continued their relentless assault. Rhys's domain had a massive impact on the reanimated corpses, allowing the puppets' spells to blast them into pieces in an instant.

"Good!" The Aurors watching from afar were immediately encouraged. Without those strange corpses, they could gang up on the Dark Lord. With so many of them, holding him off for a while should not be a problem.

But what happened next left them dumbfounded. From the pitch-black shadow, several streaks of darkness flew out and merged into the scattered remains on the ground, instantly reassembling the corpses.

The restored undead resumed fighting the puppets. It seemed as though both sides could battle endlessly.

Aries once again felt the influence of Rhys's domain. Realizing that all the organization's members had been wiped out, she no longer hesitated. Pointing a finger at the canopy beneath her feet, she blasted a large hole through it and plunged rapidly toward the ground.

She had no intention of staying on that canopy for even a second longer to fight alongside those people. Who knew if a stray aftershock might drain all the blood from her body or turn her into one of Voldemort's puppets?

Daphne and Astoria exchanged a glance, then also blasted a hole in the canopy and jumped down together.

Like two hawks, they swooped toward Aries while drawing their wands and firing a barrage of spells at her.

In a situation like this, falling from such a height, even a single Stunning Spell or a Petrification Spell could be fatal.

Aries turned her body and raised a hand toward the two of them. The spells fired by Daphne and Astoria were instantly shredded by a sudden surge of chaotic magic.

"The power of a domain, little girls!" Aries laughed in relief. At last, she had caught two inexperienced novices who didn't understand domains. She had to make the most of this and fight them properly until a victor was decided!

Honestly, it was ridiculous. She hadn't expected there to be a wizard with a domain in the stadium tonight. Aries inwardly thought Voldemort was unlucky, but then reconsidered—since there were a hundred thousand wizards present tonight, it wasn't impossible for a domain user to appear among them.

If that mysterious person with the blood domain could kill Voldemort, that would be ideal. However, Aries didn't think highly of his chances. No matter how much she disliked Voldemort, she still acknowledged his strength.

After all, he had fused four divine relics and mastered a top-tier domain. A flashy ability like a blood domain might work against novices without domains, but against someone like Voldemort, it would fall short.

So what should she do? Aries even found the time to seriously consider her own future.

If Voldemort survived the battle, then she certainly wouldn't. She was convinced that sooner or later, she would be devoured by Voldemort's domain, following in Taurus's footsteps.

And the organization would never turn against Voldemort for her sake. Even Taurus, whose status had been higher than hers, had been sacrificed as a disposable pawn. What did she count for? The family she had once been proud of had likely already been purged and dismantled by Polaris.

Within the secret society, Polaris was the sole sun. Everyone depended on his existence, and he could decide anyone's life or death with a single word—even that of the organization's second-in-command.

Aries fell into deep thought. Perhaps finding an opportunity to escape would be the better choice?

She decided to observe the outcome of Voldemort's battle with the "blood mage" before making a decision. For now, the priority was to deal with these two overconfident girls chasing after her.

Let your big sister teach you a lesson!

Just as Aries was about to engage Daphne and Astoria in battle, her vision suddenly blurred, and with a thud, she landed on a solid wooden floor.
