Chapter 11 - Reborn as the Primordial God – Chapter 9: A New Dawn

Silence.

For the first time since the birth of the Five Elder Gods, the Garden of Eden felt empty.

Too empty.

The laughter of Set no longer echoed across the seas.

The endless debates between Chthon and Oshtur beneath the World Tree had ceased.

Their absence weighed heavily upon all of us.

Especially me.

For millions of years, I had watched over my younger siblings.

I had seen them grow.

Laugh.

Argue.

Dream.

And now...

They were gone.

Though I knew they still lived somewhere beyond the universes, imprisoned within the Infinite Dimension, I could not rid myself of the guilt.

Had I failed them?

Had I been too weak?

Countless times, I blamed myself.

One evening, as I sat beneath the World Tree alone, I felt a familiar warmth.

Gaea quietly sat beside me.

Neither of us spoke.

There was no need.

She simply rested her head upon my shoulder.

And for the first time in millions of years...

I cried.

"I couldn't save them," I whispered.

Gaea held my hand.

"You did save them."

"You gave them hope."

"And one day..."

"We will bring them home."

Her gentle smile eased the pain in my heart.

Not completely.

But enough.

Enough for me to stand once more.

I gazed toward the heavens.

Toward the endless stars.

And I made a vow.

"I failed to protect my brothers."

"But I will never fail the family that remains."

"I swear it."

Gaea smiled.

"And I shall stand beside you."

Thus, together, we resolved to move forward.

Not to forget.

But to continue living.

And in time...

Life itself answered our prayers.

From the union of my power of creation and Gaea's boundless life, a new existence was born.

A brilliant child whose light illuminated the heavens themselves.

As I held the infant in my arms, I could not help but smile.

"My son."

The child opened his eyes.

Golden like mine.

Filled with warmth like his mother's.

Gaea lovingly embraced him.

"His name shall be Atum."

The heavens rejoiced.

The stars themselves seemed brighter.

And for the first time since losing my brothers...

I felt happiness.

Millions of years later, another blessing entered our lives.

A beautiful daughter.

Her silver hair shimmered beneath the light of the stars.

Her eyes radiated curiosity and wonder.

As Gaea held her close, she smiled softly.

"Selene."

I gently touched my daughter's forehead.

"May you always walk beneath the light."

And so, our family grew.

Atum inherited his mother's kindness and my determination.

Selene possessed great wisdom and a gentle spirit.

The Garden of Eden, once filled with grief, echoed with laughter once again.

Oshtur smiled as she watched her niece and nephew grow.

"They're adorable."

Though I noticed the sadness hidden within her eyes.

She too missed Chthon and Set.

And every year, beneath the World Tree, the four of us would gather.

Leaving two empty seats beside us.

Not because we had forgotten.

But because we believed.

Believed that one day...

Our lost family would return.

As ages passed, Atum grew into a mighty being whose power rivaled the stars.

Selene became beloved by the spirits of the moon and night.

Peace had returned.

But unknown to us...

Within the Infinite Dimension...

Chthon and Set remained trapped.

Their bodies motionless.

Their souls consumed by darkness.

And before them stood a shadow.

Not Oblivion.

But something even stranger.

A figure cloaked in silver flames.

Ancient.

Unknown.

And possessing power that rivaled the Primordial Entity itself.

The mysterious being gazed upon the sleeping brothers.

And smiled.

"So these are the children of Aetherion."

"Interesting."

As its eyes shone with countless galaxies...

A new chapter in the history of creation quietly began.

To Be Continued...
