"Mommy… Mommy, are you going to die?"
Second Treasure lifted her small, tear-stained face, looking as heartbroken as could be. Her tears fell like beads from a broken string.
Behind her, Third Treasure started crying too. "Daddy, Daddy…"
Lin Feng was taken aback and immediately picked up his daughter to ask what had happened.
"Third Treasure, don't cry. Tell Daddy what's going on."
"What did you just say about Mommy?"
Holding a child in each arm, Lin Feng bolted upstairs.
"Mommy… blood… She's hurt…"
Third Treasure was a little calmer. "Mommy is bleeding… We saw it…"
Bleeding? What's happening?
Lin Feng's heart pounded with fear and panic until he reached the bedroom. He saw Zhang Yuxi, perfectly safe, stepping out of the bathroom with a bewildered expression as she looked at Second and Third Treasure.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying so sadly?"
Third Treasure reached out her arms, asking for a hug.
