"Hmph! Indeed!" The Elder snorted coldly, his eyes gleaming with a sinister chill, as he opened his five fingers and suddenly reached towards Xu Wendong.
Xu Wendong, however, did not dodge or evade, quietly staring at the old man, his expression calm and composed.
"Why aren't you dodging?" The Elder of the Treasure Hall shouted angrily, though his hand action paused slightly.
"Because I'm not afraid." Xu Wendong's lips curled into a cold smile, his tone full of confidence.
"You sure have some guts!" The Elder gritted his teeth, but the hand raised high never came down.
He knew well that acting out here would lead to consequences he couldn't bear.
First, Xu Wendong was a disciple of the Sect Master Peak; touching him was akin to directly offending the Sect Master, a price he couldn't afford.
Second, as an Elder, attacking a disciple in front of so many witnesses would leave him with no face to save.
