Turn 4 – Jason Prime
"My move," Jason said, drawing. The card slid into his god-touched hand like it belonged there.
He flicked one card forward.
"I activate Pot of greed."
"Which allows me to draw two cards," Jason murmured.
He placed another card.
"I summon a face down monster in face down defense Position."
"I set two cards," Jason added, his voice cool, "and that will be all—for now."
He glanced at his clones. "Proceed."
Turn 5 – Clone A (Gold-Eyed Jason)
Gold-Eyed Jason smirked, drawing.
"I'll go aggressive," he said. "It's more entertaining."
He slid a monster onto his Disk.
"I Normal Summon Destiny HERO – Drilldark!"
A wave of dark steel energy erupted as Drilldark shot up from a vortex of shadow, landing with a sharp metallic step. Its twin drills spun on each arm, whirring like turbines ready to pierce fate itself. (ATK 1600)
"Drilldark's effect activates," Jason continued, the gleam of intellect behind his voice now laced with anticipation. "When he's summoned, I can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower 'Destiny HERO' monster from my hand."
He slid another card forward. "Come forth—Destiny HERO – Celestial!"
A bright flash of violet light burst from the ground, and Celestial appeared, blades drawn, eyes glowing like molten gold under her visor. She landed beside Drilldark, the two Heroes standing shoulder-to-shoulder, their dark energy syncing in a rhythmic pulse. (ATK 1600)
"And I'll set one card face-down. Your defenses amuse me. I'm curious how long they'll stay standing."
The turn moved.
Turn 6 – Clone B (Void-Eyed Jason)
Void-Eyed Jason drew in silence. His face was identical to the others, but his eyes were emptier—like the vacuum between stars.
"I set one monster," he said softly, placing it face-down. "And two back row."
His tone carried nothing. No confidence. No doubt. Just simple execution.
The turn cycled back.
And the atmosphere shifted.
Turn 7 – Connor
Connor drew his next card and smiled.
Not a big grin. Not Joey's loud, reckless one. A small, sharp, satisfied smile—someone seeing a strategy fall into place.
"First," he said, "I flip summon my face-down monster: Magician of Faith."
The robed spellcaster materialized, hands clasped around a glowing book.
(ATK 300 / DEF 400)
"When she's flipped," Connor continued, "I can add a Spell from my Graveyard back to my hand."
He held up a familiar card.
"Welcome back—Pot of Greed."
Joey whistled. "Oh man, that's a good strategy using a magician of faith to play pot of greed again ."
Connor activated it immediately. "I draw two more cards."
His expression sharpened as he saw what he'd gained—a glint of something like satisfaction crossing his face.
"Next," he said, "I activate Graceful Charity. I draw three… and discard Sinister Serpent and Breaker the Magical Warrior."
Connor continued, voice steady.
"I Tribute Magician of Faith to summon Airknight Parshath."
(ATK 1900)
"I use Mystical Space Typhoon," Connor said. "destroy one of your face-down cards, gold-eyes."
He pointed straight at Clone A.
Breaker raised his staff; the orb shattered, firing a blast of energy at one of Clone A's set cards.
The card flipped—Sakuretsu Armor—before exploding into fragments.
Connor thrust his hand forward with conviction and declared, "I banish my Magician of Faith and Breaker the Magical Warrior from my graveyard to Special Summon Chaos Sorcerer!"
(ATK 2300)
"Now," Connor added, "I attack your destiny hero drill dark with Airknight Parshath ."
Clone A's LP: 4000 → 3700.
Gold-Eyed Jason hissed between his teeth, irritation finally cracking his smooth veneer.
Connor's eyes glinted.
When airnight parshath deal damage,I can draw a card
Now my chaos sorcerer will attack your Destiny HERO – Celestial
Clone A's LP: 3700 → 3000.
"I set another card," he said, "and end my turn. Your move, Odion."
Turn 8 – Odion
Odion drew his card in a smooth, deliberate motion.
His expression remained a mask of serenity…
But the subtle tightening of his fingers around the card betrayed the surge of purpose igniting inside him.
A faint tremor passed through the air.
Odion raised his head—eyes sharpening, voice steady.
"I activate my face-down traps."
He swept his arm across the field.
Two slabs of stone flipped upward, erupting into writhing coils of dust and spectral fire.
"Embodiment of Apophis — arise!"
Twin serpentine monsters burst from the ground, metal scales clattering as they coiled upward, each hissing with ancient malice.
Embodiment of Apophis – ATK 1600
Embodiment of Apophis – ATK 1600
Jason Prime's smile twitched—almost imperceptibly.
"Oh? You still cling to the remnants of tomb magic?"
Odion ignored him.
He held up another card.
"Next, I activate Change of Heart."
A spectral hand of golden light formed behind him.
Jason's left eye—glowing like molten ore—narrowed sharply.
"…You wouldn't dare—"
Odion's voice deepened, becoming the controlled thunder of a priest delivering judgment.
"I take control of your facedown monster."
Jason's card flipped—
revealing a creature he intended to use later for tribute.
Instead, golden light wrapped around it, wrenching it free from his command. The monster drifted behind Odion's Embodiments, its will overridden completely.
Jason Prime's jaw clenched.
"You dare turn my own resources against me?"
Odion stepped forward, staff held like a ceremonial blade.
"By using your monster and my two Embodiment of Apophis as tribute"
Red lightning cracked across the false sky of Jason's artificial dimension.
The clouds tore open as a titanic shadow unfurled behind them—long, coiling, immeasurable.
"…Slifer the Sky Dragon!"
The entire stone field shuddered.
From above, a massive, coiling form tore out of the crackling storm—red scales, twin jaws, glowing eyes like molten suns. Slifer's roar shook the void beneath them.
Joey's jaw dropped.
Slifer coiled around their team's field, crimson thunder rippling along its body.
Odion's face remained calm, but in his eyes, raw emotion flickered—this was a power he'd once only seen used against his master. Now he commanded it.
"Since I hold three cards in my hand," Odion said, "Slifer's Attack is 3000."
(ATK 3,000)
He pointed toward Clone A's side. "Slifer, attack directly!"
Slifer's twin mouths opened, unleashing a barrage of divine lightning. Void-Eyed Jason raised an arm—not to block, but as if to measure the impact.
Clone A's LP: 3000 → 0000.
He didn't flinch but the cracks now ran across their side of the field.
Odion ended his turn, Slifer looming over them like a guardian god.
Jason Prime's face had lost its casual amusement. Only a thin line remained where his smile had been.
